This is a great place to take your family for a cheerful, sun drenched, relatively inexpensive, water based holiday. The Concorde el Salam is two sister sites. The beach side half is higher end, slicker, posher and more grown up. The sport side is more functional, child focused and economic. If you stay in the Sport side you can use the other sides facilities all day and a free shuttle bus every ten minutes or so transports guests between sites. The sport side pool has a selection of slides that will keep the kids entertained. The all inclusive bars are good, the beers are good, the cocktails are ok, I am told the spirits are only passable. The rooms are functional and fine, well placed, a bit tired and not slick. The staff are phenomenally friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The main restaurant is pretty good for breakfast, not so great for lunch or dinner although the selection is plentiful. However, go on the shuttle bus to the beach side and go to the Italian (still part of the all inclusive at lunch time). This is great! Fab saiads, fruit, desserts, rice, fish and meat dishes and very good pizzas straight from the pizza ovens. Despite being very close to the airport, you never hear a plane. The beach by the hotel is nice, with a selection of entertainments and trips available. It’s right next to Soho Square and a short drive from Naama Bay. Top tip, the cars booked from the hotel are good and cheap by uk standards, HOWEVER, download the inDrive app and book taxis through that. They are literally a tenth of the cost. The diving in the area is superb. In short, a good family holiday.
