My room smelled bad. The front desk employee wasn't very courteous. The doors at the back of the building were broken and anyone could come in. The place is very run down

Do not stay there
The hotel is being renovated but a very sloppy work quality is visible everywhere. Lose facet, dirty floors and moldy/ dirty corners. Smelly. In addition we were charged $50 deposit that was supposed to be refunded upon departure. I contacted the hotel and was assured that there were no problems and credit was issued. Three days later the deposit of $50 has not been credited yet.

The price is reasonable, rooms are clean and accommodating. Breakfast options could have more and staff arent very sociable. I would stay again.

Not bad but needs updates
The property is just old and outdated. There were these little naps everywhere in my room and if I did not wear socks my feet on the bottom work completely black from the floor not being completely clean. The location is pretty decent and the people that work there are really great it's just that it does need more care. Smell is really overwhelming when you come in. I don't know if it's an air freshener or the cleaning products but it was kind of a lot.

Bates motel of shawnee
We reserved 2 rooms king size in each of them . Pat (the manager) said he will upgrade us to 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds . That’s not an upgrade ! He wanted to know why the other guest has a different first name on his driver license instead of what we reserved it under . He goes by Bo and his given name is William
I go by Tommy and my DL has Thomas .
He said his name was “pat “ but his car license plate has “rajvit”.
The internet was unsecured and unstable considering there is only 2 floors and no elevators
The tv didn’t work each night he had to come into our room and once changed the box and the last night have to reset the entire system
The keyless entry didn’t work the second night and I had to go down the stairs to get replacements

The property is very clean, the front desk clerk was not very socialable and the included breakfast did not have a huge selection. However, our room was nice and clean. It had been updated and the beds were comfortable. The price was reasonable as well. Would stay again.

They charged me $50. Said it was a fee if anything was broke I didn’t mess anything up crap place crappy people running I will tell everyone I know not to stay there. I will never use ******* do to this charge
