Toyia (front desk clerk) was amazing! She was so helpful and kind to my elderly parents (and with me) during the chaos and stress of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. I know she was dealing with a lot of stress but she never waivered in her professionalism and excellent customer service. The king suite is very nice! Location is convenient. Breakfast is pretty good.

In town for work for 6 days; explained to front desk at check in that I was a night shifter. On my 6th day (completed 5th night shift) I woke up at noon to the sounds of a construction zone. Up until this day, none of which had happened the entire time I had been here. NOR was I fore warned it was going to start!! ABSOLUTELY unacceptable to knowingly place guests right in the middle of a FULL blown construction zone!! The videos that were not permitted; are so much worse than even the pictures!! This is the 2nd floor of the hotel, I never left the threshold of my hotel room when taking the video/pictures uploaded. My review is that you do not come back until “October 2024” when the renovations are apparently going to be complete.

This property is undergoing a total renovation of the interior. The staff is excellent but there are the expected issues of trying to stay in a building undergoing this much construction. This is a total gut job including removing popcorn ceiling and the required sanding. No mention on their website. We look forward to returning when renovations are complete.

The occasion was for a 100th Anniversary Dinner Celebration in Gastonia. I love the convenience of the stores and restaurants truly within distance. I have always chosen this location and I have never had any issues.

The Country Inn and Suites In Shelby have been so kind and outstanding when it comes to knowing how really to show what true hospitality is all about. From the time you are welcomed at the front desk all shifts of the front desk are consistently warm with politeness. You see this hotel leader / Manager Sissy have put teams together that is just like her warm, consistently kind and truelly want you to have an outstanding stay and they All go far and beyond to keep all of us guest satisfied and make sure when we leave we have had a great experience. I have returned many many times and will continue to return because I know that all my expectations will be greatly fulfilled and it’s like coming back to visit friends and family every time. So I challenge each of you… put on your Bucket list if you want to witness true hospitality come visit Sissy and the whole team at the Country Inn Shelby NC. Ms. Dorothy

I would not recommend staying here until the renovations are completed. The rooms were very old and the bathroom was leaking something from the ceiling. Maintenance has to come in a clean the bathroom and see what was going on. I was trying to understand why they were even renting those rooms knowing there are issues.

I chose this place because of the price and the reviews that said it was very clean. Inside and out, it is trashy! Trash usually lined the second floor hallway. The room had holes (or indents) in the walls, and wallboard and wallpaper peeling back in the bathroom. A friend stayed at the Hampton Inn next door as=nd said it was nice.

You walk in and it’s looks nice on the 1st floor. But soon you got the 2nd it’s smell so bad and the rooms did too. I guy I was with his room had mood in the bathroom. Then my truck got broken in too. Went told them front desk and they call the cops. The Manager did not come out there or call me to see if there was anything they could do for me. I had to reach out to them to see if they would help me and it was a NO. I would not stay there at all. I would pay the extra money stay somewhere better.

This is my second time booking and every time I walk in it always smells so clean ! The staff is great and I love the king rooms! This is my go to hotel when I come here . And breakfast is amazing always!
