The staff is not nice

I made this reservation due to my power being out from deadly storms which left almost 900,000 people without power in Houston. We were without power for a couple days and didn’t know when it would be our turn for power to be restored. I have two kids and with temperature outside reaching 92 I quickly booked the reservation for 2 days (Saturday – Monday morning) to escape the heat. About 4 hours after checking in (about 8pm) I received a notification stating our power had been restored. I spoke with the front desk and asked about getting a refund for Sunday since our power was on again. She stated she would ask her manager Chirag Bhakta in the morning. I checked out Sunday before 11am with the same front desk lady and she said Mr. Bhakta wasn’t there yet and to call later and handed me his business card. After returning home I called and was told they would not give me a refund because I had prepaid. I explained the situation and that I had given plenty of time for them to book the room out to another customer. She said yes, they did book it already to someone but they still had to stick to their no refund policy. You would think during times like this they would have a heart and give a refund especially since I gave plenty of notice. We lost all of our refrigerated food due to the power being out for so long. This refund would have helped me replace some food for my family. Thanks Chirag Bhakta and Super 8.

I found my visit to be nice, I was working on a construction job and just needed a good place to sleep and bathe.

Cockroaches !! Everywhere they tried to move us to another room only to find more!!! Stay away !!! We left as fast as we could staff just said thanks for telling us horrible experience would not reccomend

Go to Comfort Inn instead of this place. It's old, old, old. If all you need is a bed fine, otherwise it's worth a few more dollars to go else where. I was in a suite, I had the basics of coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. Room had been renovated which was nice, but again Comfort Inn was nicer and fed you breakfast for about the same price.

The hotel is currently under renovation, but our room had been remodeled and it was good. I initially had some confusion over the room rate charged, but the GM was more than fair , and far exceeded my expectations for a resolution. His name is Jesse Roepel very understanding of my deliema.

Beware! Beware! We had a 2 day reservation. Had been in our room maybe 30 minutes and killed 6 roaches. Opened the drawers and they scattered. My granddaughter immediately pulled the covers back to get into the bed as we had driven 4 hours and she was tired. The white quilt had blood stains on it. Obviously the cleaning crew just remake the beds because I don't know how they could have missed that. Room also had musty odor. Called the front desk and requested a different room. They did move us to another room. The new room still had musty odor but at least we didn't see anymore roaches. When we first told the staff the room had roaches the response we got was shrugging of shoulders as if it was either no big deal or they were used to hearing that. Never again!!!! Hope you read the reviews before making a reservation. Wish I had!
