We had a wonderful stay recently. The reception staff was very helpful and even took the trouble to use her phone to check the direction to Xita from the hotel. She even led us for part of the way to ensure that we got the direction right. We booked a 2 bedroom but was given only 2 breakfast and the staff was kind to add on free breakfast for all 4 of us. We really appreciated the kind gesture. Staff at the breakfast place was also friendly and helpful. The apartment had a washing machine which was the main reason why we booked it and it really came in handy. Washing powder was also provided. However, the dryer function could be improved as it took a long time for the clothes to dry since the machine is a 2 in 1.

Amenities well maintained, location is favourable, and the receptions are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and clean. I will definitely stay here again!

Highly recommended, especially for group travellers or families! The condo-style unit was incredibly spacious, clean, and super comfortable — we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The front desk staff? Absolutely amazing. I had more than 10 parcels sent there before our arrival (yes, pre-trip online taobao shopping 🙈), and they had them neatly arranged on a trolley, ready to be sent to our room the moment we checked in. Talk about thoughtful service! Breakfast was more than enough — good variety and fresh every day. On days we skipped the buffet to visit the morning market, the staff even prepared drinks, fruits, and sandwiches for us to take on the go. Such a kind touch! Overall, we felt really well taken care of. Clean space, warm service, and great hospitality. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation. 💯

The location of this place is very good because it is v near to Shenyang Station and also near to Taiyuan Street. The breakfast buffet here is 100/100. The menu changed everyday which surprised me!! Cleanliness of the hotel can be improved. The facilities are rather old and there is a moldy smell in the room. We stayed at level 26 and booked a family room with two bathrooms which is great for us. However, the water from the common shower room can be hot and cold while you are showering giving us a shock every time we shower. It could be v cold, and it could be v hot after a while without adjustment. We are unsure what the issue was. We were only staying for 3 nights hence it didn't bother us to inform the front desk. The door was spoilt, unable to close the shower room door as well. Please look into it if possible. One thing to surface, we felt differential treatment from the front desk. We were in a lift with a Caucasian family, and we exited the lift together. The Caucasian family exited the place with the staff greeted VERY happily in english "GOOOOOOOD MORNING" so loudly that we were able to hear it. When the same staff saw us, he literally went from :D to -.- IMMEDIATELY and never greeted us. We would appreciate if the service level were the same to everyone.Service standard should be the same to everyone. We may be able to speak Mandarin and look Chinese but doesn't mean we are local.

The hotel is perfectly situated near to the Shenyang train station and very close to local shopping. Our family of 4 stayed in the Deluxe Executive room, a very beautiful room with magnificent views of the city. We enjoyed the full breakfast buffet---foods from so many cultures and types of all kinds to suit preferences---including excellent coffee choices. The staff is always gracious and kind and ready to help! One of our family's favorite places to stay while in China.

We had a delightful stay at Somerset Heping Shenyang! The apartment is exceptionally spacious, clean, and well-appointed—featuring separate living and dining areas, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and in‑room laundry. The floor heating system kept us cozy throughout the colder season. Location is priceless: The property sits right beside Taiyuan Street (太原街), Shenyang’s premier pedestrian shopping street, and is just steps away from trendy malls, department stores, cafés, and a wide range of dining options. Within a few minutes’ walk, you’ll reach Shenyang Railway Station and the Taiyuanjie Metro station, offering swift access to the wider city. The staff were warm, attentive, and efficient, with some guests even noting that robotic room service was available on request. Breakfast featured a generous buffet with both Western and Chinese options. Overall impression: Excellent service, superb facilities (including spa, gym, kids’ playroom, sauna, and game room), and unbeatable location make this a standout choice for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel, we stayed there for the second time. Great location, close to Shenyang railway station, surrounded by nice malls and restaurants, night markets. The staff is very helpful, they speak English well. The room was clean. No problems at all.

Will be returning again. Friendly staff, location very central, and a wealth of facilities to enjoy. Only complaint I have is that the cable TV channels have not been migrated to a digital signal within the apartments yet.

The Somerset is in a fantastic location, close to good malls, restaurants and 10 mins walk from the train station. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, including cutlery, plates and a washing machine. They have a gym which has everything you need for strength training as well as cardio. You can get food delivered there easily if you wish to. All the staff are very friendly and front desk speak perfect English! We’ve stayed here twice now, and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Convenient location and the apartment is clean. Morning breakfast is good.

A bit outdated, but tidy The rooms are very spacious and clean. The facilities were ok, unfortunately the safe was broken and not usable. The gym and the children's playground offer everything you need. The breakfast menu is also good. Overall, however, the hotel is very outdated and in need of renovation. The staff could also be a little more attentive. We would look for an alternative next time we stay in Shenyang. I think the city has better quality to offer in this price category.
