We upgraded the room and added dinner when we checked in with extra cost. The room is clean and tidy with fantastic ocean view. We enjoyed our private ocean view hot spring bath and the foods were extremely good 👍

Excellent sea view, services and onsen facilities. Very nice offering drinks, snacks, ice bars and noodles in different times.

This hotel is one of the best traditional onsen hotels in Shirahama area. It's a little aged but very warm. We booked a bigger room with the seaview. The view was awesome. There are 3 private onsen huts which you can enjoy with your loved ones with privacy. We had our best onsen experience in this trip.

The outdoor onsen is perfect

The sea view room was great, very clean and tidy, beautiful and comfortable, private outdoor spring in the room, excellent for staying in the room. However, the meals were very disappointed that were unexpected to cost about US$600 for a night including dinner and breakfast for 2 adults and a kid. In particular, the foods for my kid were unacceptable for this price. The restaurant was not clean and the staff were not attentive. We booked the room through Trip.com and mentioned we have a 9 years old kid with us. The staff said they have no such record and required me to prove. Luckily I have the booking record in my App and showed them we did. Then, they said it should be the problem from Trip.com. And then, they said ok and would cost 25000 yen extra for my kid. I accepted, and then they said they could not provide an extra bed for my kid and reduced the cost to 20000 yen, and I also accepted. As a customer, I felt this was not attentive and not polite to request me to prove I had mentioned a kid for the booking. That’s all fine, but the quality and taste for the meals were really unacceptable at this price range, the breakfast was horrible. At last, my case wasn’t a communication problem because the staff who talked to us wasn’t a Japanese and was a native English speaker. Anyhow, the facilities and the room of this hotel were excellent, but the meals and services were not worth for this price.

What a delightful experience! The well-maintained condition of the entire hotel, down to every last detail, is truly impressive.

Facilities a bit dated, although still very clean. The free drinks, snacks, and ramen are a pleasant surprise. Food is ok, not too impressive for the price range of this resort. Too many tourists often crowded and noisy in common areas, hard to be relaxed and in zen.

Service is perfect! The hot springs are good with private hot springs available for use without booking. Satisfactory dinner. Amazing view and breakfast.

- nicely designed and well maintained hotel, very quiet - away from the Main Street, not very convenient, shuttle bus is very limited, only two in the morning to the train station, you have to book in advance - no gym or pool or a la carte restaurant options - great ocean view from the room, lobby and Onsen - service was subpar, the onsen floor was slippery, I fell and injured my hand and feet, had two medicated plasters from the reception and that was it - lots of people were taking photos in the mixed bath onsen???
