Selenium Hotel

Stayed for 6 days at the hotel. I booked the half board option. My room was the standard room, with two single beds. Room was comfortable enough, with a balcony and chairs overlooking the pool. Weather was very good, daily temperature around 22°C. The hotel is about 6 minutes walk to the beach, but I think there is a shuttle service. In Side, there are lots of shops, restaurants and banks. The shops and restaurants prefer you pay in Euros. There are plenty of excursions you can try like the boat cruises. There is also a local mosque 100 metres from the hotel. WiFi is free, but can be intermittent. The meals are all well cooked and will fill you up, but they are a repetitive, a little variety would have been good. Turkey is meant to be famous for for it's grilled meat, but I don't recall anything offered in the buffet. I would definitely bring your own towels and shower gel. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Transfer from Antalya airport can take over 90 minutes, depending on how many different hotels the driver has to pick up from.

Stinks everywhere you go cigarettes smoke. No place for not smoking people. Room was clean not to bad. But everything else was terrible. Food I don’t know nothing special salads some eggs in a morning in evening some goulash I'm not sure. Better go out to eat. If you need sleep for a night or two its ok

As soon as we arrived, we ran into a problem, because they told us that they didn't have a family room available, so we would have to move to another hotel. We did not accept this, after they saw my decisive action, suddenly there was a room. The same thing was done with another couple the next day, they were put in a seedy hotel without air conditioning. The elevator did not work at all, the wording of free Wi-Fi is a trick, because it cannot be used in the entire hotel, not even in the common area. The members of the staff are rather young children who, even if tired, did their work continuously, they were directed by one of their older colleagues with their rude manners. This rudeness was also towards the guests, the older waiters were rude and condescending. (except for the gentleman with glasses, he was nice). He often shouted loudly to the guests. It was terribly disturbing that smoking was allowed in the restaurant, so we ate with children sitting around us surrounded by cigarette smoke. The food was below criticism. The remains of the previous meal were constantly exposed, especially the potato wedges left over from dinner at breakfast. What is completely outrageous is that on a weekday the previous day's bread and buns were invented. The cold cuts are usually one type, maybe one day there were two. The parisian was browned, the edges curled up, and it was unsightly to look at. Flies were feasting on it. Fruit every day is only melons and apples, but from the simplest, worm version. Cakes are offered every day, but every day is the same, pudding in bulk and a soaked sponge-like disk. It was horrible. There was never a slice of meat, maybe some tokány, mirelit meatballs in some sauce made from powder. The drink car mat could only be used at breakfast, watered down with horrible fruit juice. which, by the way, could be drunk with a glass at other times for 1 euro. The beach is ridiculous! With unusable beds and sponges with holes, as thick as herrings. You could wake up every day at dawn to the prayers of the mosque in the street next door, but if that wasn't enough, you were guaranteed garbage trucks, buses, and dripping air conditioners! All in all, never again, I will not recommend it to anyone, rather pay more, just don't come here!!!

We already had a negative experience upon arrival, as they wanted to transfer us to another hotel, saying that there were no available rooms. We didn't go into this and still got a room. The wording of free WiFi is a trick, because it was useless. Their beach is below par, crowded, with poor quality beds. During the supply, the remainder was always found, monotonous, with no variety. As for fruit, only melons and apples were available. The sweetness is always the same, a soaked sponge cake and pudding in bulk. What is absolutely infuriating is that on a weekday the bread was from the previous day. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant, so we had to eat with children in the smoke. The cold cuts, which were 1-2 types, were browned at the edges and tasteless. The elevator was not working. Children worked in the eye clinic, they were tired, but they worked. They were driven by the older gentleman, who did not spare the guests with his manners either. I am satisfied with the cleanliness and cleaning of the room. It was impossible not to hear the mosque's morning prayers. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

Me & my husband stayed in this hotel last week and we had a fantastic time, I don't understand all the bad reviews. The food isn't moldy, there is 2 different coffee machines, I didn't see 1 ant, the rooms are cleaned daily. We went in thinking 'let's just make the most of it' after reading the reviews about uncleanliness and rude staff. The hotel couldn't be cleaner! And the staff are perfectly lovely, they speak English, the young pool guys work their butt's off cleaning round the pool 2 - 3 times a day and serving you as soon as you step up to the bar, they put some right hours in. No there isn't a full English breakfast, you are in the middle east 😅 but lots of choice to be had and all fresh! Felt very safe walking around day and night. Great location, can walk to the beach, the shops, lots to do in the area, we had a brilliant time, our first in Turkey and we will be back, thank you Selenium Hotel! Worst ever we've been. Breakfast was absolute rubbish - leftovers from yesterday lunch, no coffee, food was terrible. We had half-board and yet had to pay for coffee on lunch time. Room was terrible, old and squeaky furniture, no bin, no everyday cleaning, no fresh towels, no shampoo in the shower. Customer service was horrendous! Avoid it at all costs!!!
