La Menara Hotel & Spa

Great, little boutique hotel located in the Sidi Bou Said area of Tunis. We stayed in the Syracuse room, located on the ground level by the pool. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is up a pretty steep hill probably a 15 minute walk from the main town area. We had a car, and there is plenty of free parking directly in front of the hotel. Speaking of... there is also plenty of street parking in the town as well -- though it is a 2 Dinar charge/hour. We had dinner in the hotel in the evening, they had a pretty decent variety of Italian food offerings, and the pizzas we ordered hit the spot. The included breakfast the next morning was a small buffet, and could have used a few more bread/pastry options. The only negative for us was that the music by the pool plays till around 10pm. Luckily, we didn't have too early of a flight the next morning, but if we did, we imagine it would be quite difficult to sleep with the music going. Something to keep in mind if you book a room on the ground floor (the Taormina or the Syracuse Room) Overall, great stay and we will be back if we find ourselves in the area.

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous setting Beautifully appointed boutique hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast spread and the dining area has a spectacular view. Staff could not be more helpful. Does not have all the amenities one might expect for the price like a fitness area. Also note that though the description says it has a bar, they do not serve alcohol.

Good location and nice view This hotel was ideal for me because of the good access to the center village of Sidi Vou Said and Cartage. I found many nice restaurants and café very close to this hotel. All staff members were friendly and attentive. Their restaurant was not busy but the quality of foods was good. It was located within thirty-minute perimeter of tax ride of the international airport.

After staying in numerous hotels in Tunis over the last 12 years I can honestly say La Menara was the best hotel so far. Very relaxing, impeccable service and the rooms are spotless. Each room represents a different era in Tunisia's history. Every thing was hand made and took 7 years for the hotel to be completed. You won't get the personal service you get at La Menara if you stay in the big hotels. I for one will be returning next year.

I went to the spa with my aunty and I enjoyed a beautiful spa day and such a nice relaxing massage I totally recommend this hotel.. the place is new and so clean the view is wholesome and team is very helpful😍

Very unique hotel, walkable to the center of Sidi Bou Said. Wonderful atmosphere, very tasty fresh breakfast and wonderful stuff. Everything is clean and good taking care of. Lived the rooms design and the view of the city. Best value for money 🙏
