Marirath Boutique Hotel

HUID. En cuanto al hotel sin más. La piscina muy bonita en fotos pero no está cuidada, tiene azulejos saltados y esta extremadamente sucia. No la tienen para nada cuidada, de hecho escogimos el hotel por la piscina y cuando nos metimos vimos que era inviable. La habitación está bien pero habían muchos mosquitos y el agua de la ducha no tragaba. La decepción fue cuando cortaron el agua caliente y nos ignoraron hasta que tuvimos que enfadarnos para que nos hicieran caso, cuando por fin nos encendieron el agua, empezó a caer agua del techo del baño inundando todo (vieron que el baño estaba inundado y les dio igual). Al día siguiente volvió a pasar lo mismo, cortaron el agua para hacer obras en la habitación contigua sin avisar que nos quedaríamos sin agua con la mala suerte que justo mi pareja se estaba duchando. Le dije que por favor nosotros hacíamos el check out en una hora y qué necesitábamos ducharnos (puesto que mi pareja estaba a medio duchar) y que teníamos que coger vuelos y demás. La verdad que el trato fue bastante malo. Cuando luego reclamamos hicieron caso omiso. A veces da igual la compensación económica, pero no nos dejaron hacer ni un late check out ni nada para compensar toda la mala gestión por su parte. Considero que en Camboya hay hoteles mucho mejores, a mejor precio y más céntricos. Una decepción total. Por suerte el equipo de Trip estuvieron muy amables.

Personnel agréable et petit déjeuner simple. Cependant, grosse déception au moment du check-out : nous avions laissé notre sac fermé dans la chambre (à la place de la réception) et, à notre retour avec 2 heures de retard, on nous a demandé 10 $. Lorsque nous avons dit que c’était excessif, le tarif a été baissé à 8 $, mais cela reste inacceptable. Nous n’avons finalement rien payé, mais ce type de pratique laisse une mauvaise impression.

I love this little boutique hotel for the quirkiness of the owner whom I met when I checked out the hotel before booking, a lovely Khmer woman who is kind and accommodating , as well as the location which is a bit outside of the beaten tourist trap but close enough by tuk tuk to everything you will want to see. There are great Khmer restaurants a 5 minute walk away in one direction, a local Khmer market with all types of things from fresh fish in buckets, hens that will become chicken, real Cambodian life market meat, to incence, clothes and shoes. The pool of the hotel is clean, a decent size, the water cool but warm enough, lined with palm trees and burds that chirp, the rooms simple yet spacious and clean. There is a restaurant that serves tourist friendly food . I stayed 5 nights and if I am ever in Siam Reap again, this is where I would choose to stay again. And, there is a local laundry place for a dollar a kilo wash and sun dry that is super convinient and good 1 minute away.
