So a full time luxury hotel international traveler with my wife. ~300 nights total last year. I share only because, relatively unique view of hotels in that they are home. Lifetime platinum, titanium member bonvoy, Hyatt Globalist, Hilton Diam, IHG Patinum status. Etc supplied only for context. We see a lot of hotels. Ok, about the Sira. Situated across from Gili Air island. on Lombok. If you want to have a similar vibe to Bali before it exploded in tourism, here’s your spot. Easily reached by flight into LOP or ferry from a couple/few ports from Bali. From the moment you arrive you will be greeted with extraordinary service. Smiles abound, absolutely lovely, genuine love and care from every staff member. Truly top notch. Hotel grounds and beach are clean, well maintained, nice to look at and “soothing”. This is likely to be viewed as a “staycation” style resort. There are islands to see, and tours, but in that on a quiet side of Lombok, the resort is the highlight. The pools are truly extraordinary if you are a lap swimmer, then every lap, a very long lap. We just came prior from the Park Hyatt Jakarta, which truly is a tough act to follow. Yet, as a luxury brand Hotel in the Marriott group up to the task. There are villas and some swim out rooms, but in that this is still early days of opening, maybe 4 ish or so months, these did not seem yet available. So all rooms available are “suites” yet really just very “big” rooms. 100 square meters or so. Huge covered patio with dual ceiling fans, two couches, and table and chairs. Really comfortable We rarely do room service, we did it almost every night. Just a great “perch.” Nice gym, not huge but perfectly adequate, wife did a few spa experiences that she quite liked. As titanium breakfast though a la carte was gratis. Didn’t seem to be a limit as to what you order. All nicely done, and honestly a nice change from buffets, even extraordinary ones like the Jakarta park Hyatt. For dinner not all restaurants open yet, yet as a whole quite satisfied with quality, presentation, taste, and service. A few items on menu not available but overall very satisfied. Although not a dining discount for titanium’s, they did offer a 20% discount on set number of prepaid dollars, determined by how many nights. Although this can be viewed as frustrating, it was put forward to all costs other than tips and 3rd party services you can book and put on room. If you plan on spa treatments, do the math, it can be a no brainer. It also applies to mini bar, but overall would encourage hitting duty free for in room alcoholic beverages in that drinks can add quickly. Overall, total winner experience. The GM came from the ST Regis Maldives. He understands high end hospitality and is a genuinely nice guy, who cares about creating great experiences through extraordinary service. His team demonstrates that commitment. Lastly, at this time an extraordinary, time limited amazing deal on point value. 5star.
