The Katerina Hotel recensioner

The hotel exterior looks ok but the room is dated. The room they gave me comes with a bathtub but is poorly maintained. Opposite is siam oriental massage where hotel guest get to enjoy 15% off.

Hotel has a elegant vibe upon entering the lobby. Check in was smooth and staff was friendly. Room offer fantastic views as we have gotten a high level. Air conditioning is working good. Mini fridge in the room if you want to store some drinks. Bathtub need upgrading.

Everything on everage, facilities really need to be upgrade. Nice hotel from outside, but please upgrade the room facilities atleast upgrade a bit.

My family and I have been checking into The Katerina Hotel since its opening whenever we visit our Malaysian relatives. We were pleasantly surprised that it has refurbished its furniture and furnishings to almost its original glory during our latest trip there. The five guests that had gone with us were also thoroughly impressed by the quality of the hotel for the price that we had paid. We were very glad we did not book the newly refurnished but more expensive hotel nearby and stayed loyal to The Katerina. I am not sure if The Katerina Hotel website states that it is newly refurbished and would highly recommend that it does so.

The add-on breakfast: we were told it was more expensive to add on, as compared to what was written by Trip.com. And the staff did not even check our voucher, just insist that it is the hotel price is like that. Then the room card has several issues. Go up and down about 3x in the middle of the night. Plus point is the swimming pool which need to use like a different lift but was not written in the instruction folder. Gym facilities got no towel even though has space there mentioning to take 1 towel. Service given 2 stars only because of the bellboy, was very helpful, and suggest places to go to. Front counter given bad impression, and no other staff even smiled at us. Also, I realised their soap and shampoo only give for 1 pax, even though we paid for 2 pax. Room has no toothbrush, luckily, we brought our unused toothbrush from previous hotel (which is a 2 star hotel even complete set haha). There is an iron corner at the end of corridor, which is good as we were there for a function.

Everything is good just make sure that u don’t have elderly with leg issues as the shower head is all in the bathtub means those leg problem can’t use the climb in to access the shower head . Did not check on that but they kind enough to give a pail and scoop 😝

Service -- iron outside room, need to wear proper clothes just to iron outside the room and one iron for one level. how could a 4-star hotel share 1 iron for 1 floor?

Got to know that this hotel has been there for 25 years already and its still maintaining well. Room is clean and comfortable. Overall , it was a pleasant stay.

Easy to find location, rather old hotel room, green molds can be seen at windows, staff was ok

We appreciated the service and the staffs’ efforts to meet our needs. However, the room amenities were not satisfactory and some items were missing. They were provided upon request, but it was inconvenient. The lobby was hot and humid, and we noticed a musty smell in some places. We don’t think we will stay here again, but we thank the staffs for their kindness.

First time stay, mattress and pillow is nice, just the bath tub really need to maintained, only can stand for bath, overall is satisfying, car park is complimentary, no need worry can't find parking.

I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the amenities were excellent. The dining experience was delightful, and the location is convenient. However, the parking space is limited, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, it's a great place to stay
