Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre

To the team: A massive thank you to Amelia and Atikah on the front desk. Both helped me at seperate times with different issues. Both issues rectified and all done with kindness and knowledge of the Mercure product. 10/10 customer service. Both are major assets to the Mercure brand & the A Grade level of Singaporean Hospitality. Thank you! To future guests: each room has built in worldwide travel adaptors/wall plugs - no need for international adaptors or if you forget yours, all your charging requirements will still be met. Five built in worldwide wall adapters in a standard room as well as an additional three type A USB chargers. Wifi is fast and free. Rooms have built in water filtration systems so you can drink straight from the second smaller tap. Fridges in rooms are not stocked so you can fill it yourself. Aircon works a charm. Filtered water systems and ice machines are located around the property also. Pool gets all day sun and is not overshadowed by other skyscrapers. A little Ipm adjustment is required from one pool lounge to another. Pool towels provided. New build hotel and feels exactly that - new. Location is incredible.

I recently stayed at Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre and accidentally left my phone in a taxi. I was incredibly stressed, but thanks to the diligent and kind assistance of Sandra Tay at the front desk, my phone was successfully recovered. Sandra went above and beyond to help me track it down; her professionalism and genuine care made all the difference. Great location right in the heart of Chinatown with easy access to MRT stations, restaurants, and nightlife. The hotel is modern, clean, and convenient for both business and leisure trips. Rooms are a bit compact, but very comfortable and well designed for Singapore standards. Staff were friendly and the breakfast selection was good. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely come back again. The hotel is especially praised for its central location, cleanliness, and convenience for exploring Singapore.

Good location, walking distance to Chinatown MRT and Maxwell MRT. Can walk to Lau Pa Sa. Room size is small but location wins.

Good location - hotel was near 3 metro stations all in easy walking distance. Note however best to get off at Telok Ayer for a quick commute to hotel. Closest Chinatown Exit H is not linked to Exits A-F which are the main exits to Chinatown Point etc. Cleanliness - noted stains on the new bedsheets. Room size is on the smaller side but the view was very nice Recommend the hotel to install AC in their elevators especially for those who are especially staying on a high floor.

I arrived at 12:00 PM, and the receptionist initially informed me that I would be staying for only 1 night, despite having 2 separate bookings under my name for a total of 3 nights. After completing the registration, I was asked to return at 3:00 PM, which I understand is the standard check-in time. However, I waited until around 2:30 PM with no update on my room status and had to follow up myself. The staff did not provide any update or apology for the wait. I fully understand that check-in time is at 3:00 PM, but basic communication and empathy toward guests are equally important. On my last night, someone called my room at around 10:00 PM while I was already asleep ahead of an early morning flight, which was quite disruptive. Overall, my sleep quality during this stay was very poor. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is very convenient, within about a 5-minute walk to Chinatown and the MRT. The view from the room is also nice, and the bed is comfortable.

the hotel service is very good, from lobby staff, bell boy, house keeping. everyone very friendly and helpful. room seize is very small and as expected. but locations super good. walking distance to 2 famous kawker centers and many popular restaurants. even rides to merlion only 10mins. very convenient!
