Beyond of expectation. This place is not only a hotel but a little museum! Very unique and worth for the money!

Good location Excellent service The room type I booked was a bit too small but clean and have good amenities Would love to stay again

- Good for value - Very classic design - More 4-star service which is not the Marriott standard with certain staffs with comment such as the booking was made through Agoda/ trip.com which is lower price, which I find unprofessional. Customer should be given the same service regardless of where the booking is made - **TINY BED. The 2 pillows given were identical with no selection of high/ low pillows - not supportive. The Mattress is the harder Asian liking type, which together is the big no for me.

Overall was very nice. There was a construction next to the hotel. The noise was loud and disturbing the peacefulness.

A colonial style heritage hotel with a unique aesthetic charm. Room is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Requested for a quiet room, after reading about construction noise from other reviewers. Didn’t hear any of such noise during my stay. My room however was next to a housekeeping room, with the housekeeping trolley parked right outside. I would often hear the chatter of the housekeeping staff right outside, or the sounds of them taking or shifting things. I suppose a room away from the housekeeping room will provide a more peaceful experience. Nonetheless, it was overall a pleasant stay. Front counter lady was polite and friendly.

FANTASTIC🫷🫸🧜♀️🪑🔄LOVE IT, THE HOTEL THAT I WANTED TO STAY VERY LONG IN MY GOAL LIST, FINALLY WITH THE SUPPORT OF GST VOUCHER FROM GOV, DECIDE TO SUPPORT LOCAL STAY, THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC, DIDN'T WANT TO SHOW THE PHOTO CAUSE I AM AFRAID PEOPLE MAY SNATCH THIS ROOM REAL QUICK BUT SERIOUSLY, GOOD THINGS NEED TO SHARE. I HAVE NEVER STAYED IN A HOTEL AT SINGAPORE THAT DOESN'T CHASE ME OUT FOR CHECK OUT, THE ONLY THAT ALLOW ME UNTIL 4PM CHECK OUT IS ALEXANDRA HOTEL WHICH IS NOW A CHANGED BRAND NAME HOTEL, THIS HOTEL IS THE ONLY SECOND ONE I REQUEST FOR 1PM CHECK OUT BUT THE BED IS TOO COMFORT TO BE AWAKE AND I SLEPT ALL THE WAY TO 2PM YET THEY NEVER CHARGE OR BLAME ME😍😍 😳THANKS GOD FOR LETTING MY DREAM COME TRUE, THIS PLACE IS REAL GOOD. THE BREAKFAST OH MY GOD IS HEAVEN, PAY BACK GOV THE GST VOUCHER BY SUPPORT BACK IT TOURISM, GOOD THING I THINK. THEIR TOLIETRIES SUPER GOOD NOT TO FORGET THEIR CLASSIC BLACK SLIPPER WHICH I DID NOT BRING BACK FOR IT IS NOT WRAP IN PLASTIC PACKAGE SO I AM A BIT WORRIED BUT I GUESS IT IS THEIR WAY OF SERVING GUEST BUT I WOULD PREFER WITH PACKAGING. LASTLY THEY HAVE MISSING ITEM IN MINIBAR WHICH I WOULD APPRECIATE IF THEY WOULD BE CAREFUL ABOUT THIS WHEN I FEEDBACK BUT THEY DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE, HOPEFULLY THEY WON'T CHARGE ON MY BILL FOR MISSING ITEM LIKE THIS. Extremely expensive for business traveler,,no breakfast, room really, really small, like a closet, i will cut this hotel from our corporation global hotel list, will never book again this place

Oct 2024: Good location, beautiful colonial architecture but bedroom was small and customer service can be improved. Unfortunately there’s a construction next door and it affects the view and ambiance of the hotel. Massive hoarding next to hotel. Also, had a bad experience with the front desk of the hotel. They first gave me a room without a window (just a sky light, which the front desk insisted was a window). I said if I had to stand on a desk or bed to see out, it’s not a window. They then brought me to a room with a window but it was completely hoarded up. I insisted on a change of room to the type of room they had on their website with a nice big window and wanted to show them the room photo I was referring to. The front desk manager rudely and abruptly said “no need, I know what our rooms look like”. He seemed agitated and was curt. I couldn’t sleep the first night. They changed my room the next day to one next to the housekeeping room with the housekeeping cart outside my door 24/7. When asked a bellboy for direction to their nearest washroom from the lobby, his answer was, “it’s my first day ma’am, I don’t know”. When asked for an iron, they brought one that was full of gunk and was calcified. Apart from the front desk manager, rest of staff was helpful and nice. Overall, not a pleasant experience. The staff needs to be better trained.

Very small rooms (mine had a very little small window), but comfortable.

Rustic hotel surrounded by plenty restaurants and pubs. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. If I have to be picky, their dishes at Cultivate Cafe tasted alright but were overpriced. The gym was quite basic.

We have a great time at the hotel. The decor, history, and staff were all great. The metro 'Maxwell station' is just a short walk away which can get you where you need to go, a 'Grab' to the airport cost around 16euro.

Very clean and spacious cozy room with an amazing bed

I like the hotel very clean and comfortable. I'm enjoy stay here.
