Fist of all, there is info you may not get when looking for a B&B. For this Residence Ortigia you need to now:1/Self-check-in/check-out (we asked for an appointment and the lady came with one hour delay to start with!). 2/In the same courtyard there are several tables of a night pub so be careful with the noise in the summer. 3/No cutlery, no broom in the room. 4/Deceptive photos: inside is much much cheaper quality. We stayed four nights in Feb. 2022. After two nights the heating stopped working properly. The third night worked intermittently. We called her and in the morning of day four, the lady told us that she sent a technician and all was fine, however when we came back in the room in the evening the problem was not solved: the heating did not even switch on!. I snet her a video of it and called at 19pm. She told us she would call the owner (!) and get back, which did not do. I did call again and basically told us she cannot do anything and insinuated we were not able to operate the system. We slept the last night in complete cold (or to be more precise we could not sleep). The check-out morning I went to her office and made an appointment for 11:15am to show her the problem. She came with one hour delay! After few tricks in the electric panel, she managed to start it, however only cold air came out and she had the guts to deny it! She did not compensate us for the damage and insisted all was fine and we were unable to use it. She even accused me to have broken parts of the room!. This person is unable to professionally manage such business and showed high arrogance and hypocrisy. Be careful and think twice before choosing such B&B. I have evidence with video footage for those interested.
