As per my previous review (stayed August 2023), the hotel is very nice, good breakfast and amazing views from our room (junior suite) but be aware that the promised ZTL exemption to enter Ortigia with our car didn't happened and we were fined to access the public car park outside the hotel. I have called the Hotel approx 5 times since the carhire company advised of the fine that have finally arrived to us requesting payment. Been told that they would have looked into it and always promised a call back that didn't happen. One of the last calls I have with them and asked to speak to the owner was told that they live in the US and were not available. Paid now the first and hope the last of the fines as we stayed for 5 days and used the car a lot. very poor customer service. BE AWARE

We really enjoyed our stay at Livingston hotel. Staff very helpful and courteous. Room very comfortable. Bathroom is large. Shower for me was a bit on the small side (I am 1.8m tall) - but you don’t spend all day in the shower. Valet parking and hotel approves access to ZTL at Syracuse. I gave a 5 because IMO should be 4.5 but shown as 4.

This is a gem on the Island - nestled on the side of the old town (Ortega with views over the sea and onto the next peninsula. The whole staff here were friendly and welcoming. The room I booked had a sea view and it has a balcony, and two huge windows to enjoy it from. The room was clean and well-furnished. Meanwhile, the garden room on the 4th floor is the best place to enjoy Breakfast - and the buffet is the best I've had in many years. The waitress tipped me off about the tower above the garden room, and sure enough you get 360-degree views across Syracuse, plus enough space for 3 tables and some sun loungers. Once I'd had a morning visiting local attractions and a lunch I came back and just took in the sights on the rooftop all afternoon. Heaven in a tourist city - you've got to try it!

We stayed here for two nights as part of a small group tour. I would call this a classic old-school European tourist hotel, boutique in size with wonderful sea views. Everything was pleasant, especially the staff, and the breakfast server was especially nice and welcoming. The breakfast is simple and satisfying with coffees made to order in a rooftop setting. The location is just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and within 10 minutes' walking distance to the main areas. A lovely location, recommended!

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights at Hotel Livingston. The location in Ortigia is perfect, overlooking the water, easily accessible by foot to anything you wish to visit while in Ortigia, but off the beaten path so there are no crowds. And, it’s also only a few minutes from the Hop-On-Hop-Off bus stop which we used to access the Parco Archeologico della Neapolis. Our room was very charming and comfortable with an incredible view overlooking the ocean. They provide a great breakfast, and the staff was pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. I highly recommend.

We were greeted by two smiling, fine young gentlemen, both made us feel very welcome. It was a difficult day because my wife was not feeling well so their professionalism put us at ease. The room was great (205) with a balcony and sea view. It was scrupulously clean and comfortable. The morning of our departure my wife was still not feeling well so I asked for a late check out. Lasindu, a top notch hospitality pro, first said another arrival was coming and an extra half hour was all they could manage. But a few minutes later he knocked on our door and gave us another 90 minutes. What a relief! Service with a smile while going the extra mile…a very good experience!

Wonderful stay at thjis seafront hotel. We stayed in the Junior Suite on the 3rd floor. Truly breathtaking seaviews. The room is very large and airy. The hotel staff very attentive and personable. Breakfast is served on the toip floor with panoramic views of Ortigia, The bnreakfast buffet is plentful witha huge selection of homemade caked and pastries. Will stay here again

DISHONEST! I booked this hotel in 1/ 2023. It was advertised as having a spa with a pool and a restaurant. When I arrived yesterday the spa and restaurant were closed. Owner refused to refund for all nights citing that they wouldn't be able to sell the room. meanwhile nobody's here
