Dolce by Wyndham Siracusa - I Monasteri Golf & Spa

I wrote a review when I was at Falls Inn in January and I totally neglected to mention how fantastic the food was in the dining room. The Crab Vol-au-vent was simply delicious and as was the Crab Melt. The "deconstructed" lasagna roll was also very unique and quite tasty too. Lots of choices for breakfast, from Eggs Benny to Pancakes and also Continental Breakfast. With each and every breakfast served with an absolutely amazing homemade scone and homemade jam. You will definitely not go hungry here and the Inn is totally accommodating and welcoming to snowmobilers. The trails are right in front of the Inn with a huge parking lot for trailers, so absolutely great for those just wanting a snowmobile weekend/days get-away!

Upon checking in we received a card for a complimentary drink at the bar picturing a glass of champagne. When trying to use it we found out that its only good for a glass of juice. Our room had thousands of tiny ants crawling up the wall and when I called to have it looked into no one ever showed up. You could not sit outside of the room because again thousands of ants. The rooms air conditioning did not work most of the trip and apparently the front desk can control the temperature no matter what temperature you set. Unfortunately there were no windows to open to try to get a little breeze. The front desk representative, Michael, was very rude the entire visit. The dinner selection at the restaurant is very limited and unfortunately you are at their mercy if you don't have a car to get around. The breakfast selection was very nice and the staff at the breakfast buffet were very nice. My husband and his friends played a round of golf but they all were disappointed with the condition of the golf course. The resort is pretty but I would find someplace else to stay.

Hotel, staff, food & service first class. Didn’t SPA so can’t comment. Golf course is horrific! Tried to discuss it with the desk staff and emailed the manager - not interested and no reply. By all means go and use the hotel but avoid the golf course which is a shame because there are a few well designed holes just in deplorable condition!

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with Borgo di Luce. Having reserved a double-digit number of rooms for our wedding guests close to our wedding location, 6 weeks before the wedding date MIRA Borgo di Luce Monasteri decided to close down the hotel and cancel all our wedding guests. Instead of coordinating a proper response and alternative, they are not picking up the phone and sending people to other hotels across Sicily, making wedding logistics impossible. What a nightmare.

the evening only restaurant has a nice setting, also citronella candles against mosquitos. however sadly a bad chef. i had a squid which was barely edible, as it was tough as leather. my wife's fish rolls were full of small bones and dry. served with spinach??

From the beggining , it was an unpleasant experience. At the reception, the first impression was that the employees are not nice at all. Their attitude was unfriendly and unhelpful. We received a room that smelled really bad ( room 256 ) : the smell was mold , very unhealthy for the lungs and difficult to breathe. We went back at the reception desk and kindly ask for another room . The answer was a strong NO, justified by a supposed lack of availability. This was not true, since, on a very large booking platform there were 5 availabilities for that night ( same category) So, from our point of view, it was just bad will. The smell stayed strong all the 4 days we spent there ( we had to sleep with our balcony door open during the night, and buy our own insect protection device ) During our whole stay, the bed laundry was never changed. They changed only one towel of each category , at request, toilet paper was provided only by asking. We did not have bath products as body lotion , tooth brush, tooth paste , bathrobes, bath shoes etc The breakfast was ok, not great. Room was big. The pool was ok. Silent hotel, for relaxing.
