Alkioni by the Sea

Best part is the location and private beach. Everything else disaster. Room sold as family is small and not clean, entire room smells constantly like sewage. Rooms not clean and the cleaning lady cones once in 4 days !!!!. Parking only for very small cars, my car was damaged on the parking and nobody assisted or helped . Don't get sea view apartment, since you are looking at a Bush.

The apartments are decent and clean, although a bit on the small side. Our "double" bed was only 130cm wide. The location is great, right next to the beach. Internet access in the rooms was almost unusable, extremely slow or not working at all. The beach itself is nice, with pure sand in the water, without any rocks. It is very shallow for the first ~50m, so it is great to let the kids play there. However, the sand on the beach is not being properly cleaned daily, so you will find cigarette butts and other small trash there. The biggest problem with Alkioni is sleep quality - it is very noisy in the evenings because of their restaurant which is very close to the apartments, and this has significantly impacted our holiday enjoyment. Almost every evening, some restaurant patrons would let their kids loose in the apartment complex garden to run and scream, and it goes on like that until 01:00 in the morning. And then the waiters start banging with the plates and chairs when cleaning the restaurant. Alkioni should solve this problem by putting in a wall between the restaurant and apartment complex as a noise barrier, as well as by putting lockable gates around the complex (or at least between the restaurant and the garden) in order to allow only apartment guests to access the inner garden.
