Southview Park Hotel

Had a great stay in the Southview hotel, very clean and comfy rooms. Great food and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Shoutout to Caroline who was very chatty and friendly and managed to save us in a situation with our other accommodation not being suitable,

I booked online as it was cheap and included access to the park’s facilities. I came with my 4 year old son so was looking forward to having everything onsite. When we arrived, we were told that the park doesn’t open until March. I was disappointed as I couldn’t see anywhere on the parkdean website which suggested this would be the case. If I’d known, I would’ve booked something else (such as LEGOLAND for only £60 more and included full access to the park for us both) I was told by reception that there was lots to do in town which I knew but wasn’t the point. I wouldn’t say the price was worth it considering nothing is included. The one star is for the lovely staff!

From arrival to departure we had the best short break at Southview. The team are friendly and made us very welcome. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A special mention to manager Claire Hayes whose smiley face and nothing is too much trouble attitude spoke volumes and is a credit to Park Dean. Facilities are super and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will be returning!

Very good nice clean park and caravan. Great service friendly team. Would go back in nicer weather. Fab location on the edge of town so less noise but on the main road so easy to get to the centre of everything. On site pool small but modern nice on site bar restaurant

We booked a suite at Southview for a 1 night stay, I initially rang up and asked for a front facing room, which I was told l, a note was placed in the system and it was fine, this was not the case when checking in. I felt the staff were just making excuses for the mistake. We are a family of 3, 2 adults and a child, when we got in the room the sofa bed was not made up, this was rectified but when I mentioned to front of house, more excuses. The room itself is quite large, but dated, the tv in the bedroom didn’t work, the handle on the wardrobe was hanging off. As we booked direct we had to pay for breakfast separately, the breakfast was fine a little expensive for what you got, the issue in the morning was the, the containers containing the hot food had no instructions to use t towels to pick the lids up, there were a few people burning there hands. We have stayed here in many times as a stop over to Butlin’s but not sure we will again the customer service was not the best.

Stayed in the penthouse suite overnight, room was lovely, the four poster bed looks amazing, mattress was thinner than we are used too so not quite as comfy as it looked. The view from the little balcony over the lakes was nice. The jacuzzi bath didn’t work, but the bath was big enough to soak in, and the walk in shower was very powerful. We unfortunately booked on the same night as the hotel hosted a rock and roll night and as we were above the hall it was in, it meant we were unable to sleep, after a long day travelling, until gone midnight. All in all a nice room, and a reminder to check, in future, if there’s any events on!
