Albergo molto carino nel centro di Skiathos. I ragazzi della reception e tutti i membri dello staff sono stati fantastici. Purtroppo il giudizio negativo è determinato dal fatto che per 4 giorni non ho mai avuto l’acqua calda in camera e, nonostante i reclami, il problema non è mai stato risolto e sono stato costretto a fare sempre la doccia fredda. L’albergo è convenzionato per la cena con il ristorante Carnayo, consiglio vivamente di andarci, a mio avviso uno dei migliori di Skiathos.

Spent ten days there recently with family and friends. Great location for Skiathos town, bus stop just round the corner if you want to explore the island. The hotel was good rooms very clean and service was very good. All the staff were very polite and helpful. There is a good choice of food at breakfast and also for dinner. Elsa and Monica keep you supplied with beverages at the pool bar, You will get a warm welcome from Anna, Alexandra, Chris, Vasilis, Harris and Sella all of the work very hard to make sure you have a great holiday.

Good reasonably quiet location and easy walk to all the restaurants,cafes and boat excursions in the main town. We had a standard side seaview room which was comfortable with good sized but slightly dated bathroom which would benefit from removal of the overbath shower and installation of a walk in unit. The cleaning staff kept the room spotless and clean towels every day so no complaints on that front. Although a kettle was provided there was no bottled water or tea and coffee provided which was a liitle unusual. Breakfast/Garden room on the roof provided a good choice of hot (although sometimes was not as hot as we would have expected) and cold food choices with teas coffees and juices, the staff were friendly and pleasant. We think guests would appreciate an area of the roof garden to be provided with some comfortable seating areas to spend some quiet time. The pool bar offered a good choice of beers,wine and spirits and snacks and as with the breakfast room the staff were pleasant and attentive. The Carnayo restaurant where we took our Half board meals provided a quite varied menu with open fires and atmospheric feel, a good choice of Al a Carte meals and wines was available if desired and pleasant, if a liitle enthusiastic, service from the staff. Whilst we did not use the pool area it was very small and guests placed their towels on the sunbeds very early to reserve the limited sunbeds. The Reception staff were freindly and helpful, particularly Anna and the Manager, Mr Vasillis I think, was quite a character. Overall our stay was comfortable with no major issues to detract from our enjoyment

The Alkyon is a lovely hotel, perfectly located facing the port in Skiathos Town. We stayed in a standard room, which was very spacious, with plenty of hanging/storage space. There are rooms overlooking the port, but obviously these are at a higher rate than the standard rooms. If on arrival you are taken downstairs from reception do not be disappointed, these rooms have a garden area outside and some have sun beds as well. The one downside of the hotel is the small sun bed area round the pool, although in the two weeks we were there we did always manage to get a bed. Having said that if you are a beach lover then there are plenty to choose from. All the staff in the hotel are friendly and always happy to help and chat to you. Elsa and Monika in the bar area are both lovely, and make the nicest coffees. Also Christos the bell boy always has a smile on his face. We were B&B basis, which had plenty of choice of hot (more luke warm really, which was disappointing) and cold food. Tea and coffee was not very hot either. But despite the heat of the breakfast, overall a lovely hotel and we would definitely book again. We did make the suggestion that sun beds we made available in the garden area for those who did not want to use the pool, but wanted to sunbathe. I believe this suggestion has been made by a lot of guests, but logistics may make this hard to achieve.

From the moment we stepped in to the hotel the staff couldn't of been more helpful. Beautiful surroundings and fabulous view of the harbour. Great choice of breakfast which you can have on a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean. More dairy free options would be good although they did provide plant milk for lattes made by the lovely elsa and Monica. Christos was a star in helping beyond measure with our luggage. So many helpful staff at reception and nothing was too much trouble. Will visit again one day thanks for the memories
