Kassandra Bay Resort, Suites & Spa

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Kassandra Bay Hotel. We had a double sea view room which was contemporary spacious and clean, the sea view was amazing and it was lovely sitting on the balcony watching the boats. The room was cleaned to a high standard with fresh towels everyday. The bathroom was modern and spacious with a good shower and toiletries. The buffet breakfast had very good selection of hot and cold food, including omelettes, the chef making these was very pleasant and always had a chat. All the staff very helpful and friendly. We ate in the olive restaurant one night and the food was excellent. Both pool areas were pleasant and you could always get a sun-bed at the pools or the hotel beach, pool towels were provided. The water taxi made it so easy to get into Skiathos town no waiting for full buses. You can also walk to town it takes about 30 minute. We have been to Skiathos many times and found this one of the most relaxing stays. We have already booked for next year. Many thanks for a lovely stay

Just returned from the best holiday ever. Cannot rate the Hotel highly enough if I could give 10 I would do. The Hotel is at bus stop number 8 which is perfect for the bus in to town, which is only 5 minutes and you can get water taxi back to Kassandra Bay. Room amazing, staff amazing, food amazing, the photos don't lie. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble, spotless everywhere clean towels and bedding everyday. Staff always on hand to help with anything you may want from top management to cleaning staff with even the gardener opening the gate for us, you can tell they take so much pride in the hotel it was wonderful to see. The food is a standard better than we have had before and we have stayed in some wonderful Hotel's. Management even came to say goodbye to us. As you will guess we have already booked for 2 weeks next year.

The hotel was great , everything we had hoped it would be and perhaps a little bit nicer than the brochure had shown . Our room duplex family room had a fantastic sea view . Room was very comfortable . The only very minor detail , we found the pillows a bit hard but that is just down to personal preference and we all like something different . Breakfast was varied and tasty . Staff helpful and friendly . Pools were both nice and at the beginning of Sept usually a lounger free . The beach was great with the waiter service being amazing . Again , usually a lounger but to get a choice needed to be there for 9 ish . People do reserve with towels but again this time of year wasn’t a problem . The boat taxi was so useful and a great experience , with times being appropriate . We didn’t get a bus as they came along very busy . Cab home but boat taxi as well . As an animal lover I was pleased to see that a rescue exists to support the cats on the island. Some cats are residents in the grounds of the hotel and wished I had asked sooner as the hotel take care of them . A notice to guests advising of that would have eased my conscience . Apparently and thankfully I wasn’t the only concerned guest . Mind you I was told they put food and water out 3 times a day but that wasn’t the case as two days I filled up the water bowls but hey ho they are looked after as sorts .

Overall excellent - just a few niggles - no teaspoons ever served with tea and yet coffee was served with tea spoons. Badly placed mirrors in adjoining rooms meant we could see into each other’s rooms if blinds were open. Wardrobes were not able to cope with longer dresses. Obviously designed by a man. These are meant as helpful points. Should not detract from a lovely week. Fantastic location, super staff, great food and generous helpings. Reasonable costs for a hotel of this quality. I am happy to give an overall 5 star rating.

Great location great accommodation fabulous staff. Excellent food and service. Bus stop no 8 outside takes you into town in 15 mins for 2 euro or to many beaches down the coast for 3 euro. Great relaxing holiday. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

This is an outstanding hotel. The service and staff were great. Pros: location. Whilst it’s not in the main town, the bus stop is just outside and the service is fairly good. The buses run past midnight. Taking the water taxi from the beach to town is an experience that adds to the holiday! Accommodation Very good standard of decoration and maintenance. Our room was the lowest cost option ( last minute holiday and was the only option!) but looked like new. It was clean, everything worked and I love the insect screen that allows the sliding doors to be kept open. Food The breakfast buffet had a huge range of local and international food options. It was all fresh and omelettes to order were available. It was great that breakfast was available to 11am too! Cons: Location Nearest supermarket is 15 mins west, up and down a hill. As the hotel doesn’t have a shop, this was the nearest option for water etc. Accommodation 5* would include a kettle in the room for me. It was available for €20 though. Food: Free water in the room each day ( not just on arrival) would have been appreciated.

Just returned from a fortnight stay in the ‘KB Suites’ not the hotel. Spacious room with beautiful sea view from our balcony. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. We were half board and our evening meal was in the Mesoyios restaurant within the complex. Although the menu was a little limited, the food was really good!!! All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a water boat which took you to Skiathos which was 4 euros each or the bus which was 2 euros each. We didn’t find a supermarket close by, nearest was a short bus ride away. The only down side for us was the KB hotel is within the same complex as the suites and the hotel accept children therefore there were children in the snack bar at lunchtime and in the restaurant of an evening. You could also hear them around their pool during the day. So, for us, we felt the suites were not exclusively ‘adults only’. Also, the infinity pool is for the use of guests staying in the KB Suites only but we knew people from the hotel were using our pool.

KBR is beautiful, clean and majority of staff helpful and polite. Head waiter and greeter in restaurants both really friendly. We had a room on the 1st floor- (in the 200’s) sold as a sea view- personally it should be partial as most is obscured by buildings so if you visit ask for a higher room. Room was well suited to our needs but think that tea tray should be standard ( ask for a kettle and cups it’s free €20 if you have their tea etc) for the price paid. Towels were changed daily but unsure if we had a bed change in 10 days (stain on one sheet was always there) again this is an essential need. Maids seem to be on the go all day. Beach towels are provided daily and of a good quality. Plenty of sunbeds around 2 pools, could always find one. Food… hmmm! Buffet breakfast is excellent quality and offers a good selection of hot and cold food with beautiful omelettes and crepes- this was my favourite meal of the day. Evening meal in our opinion was too fussy and portions far too large- it is table service choosing from a selection from 3 courses. Breads and dips all divine but I did not finish one meal as we both found them too rich and sauces killed the meal- definitely did not meet the mark- fish dishes possibly the best. Desserts ok but no coffee to choose instead? Odd! KBR you are trying too hard- stick to traditional authentic Greek food. Plus there’s no choice of restaurant unless you pay again in the Black Olive- surely just an extra surcharge or the difference in price already paid. We paid for HB but chose to eat out 4 times in our 10 night stay as we just couldn’t stomach the food. Sorokas beach bar plus others in Skiathos port did some lovely traditional food and a fabulous Greek salad. Bus good but always packed €2 or €3 depending on stops (bus stop 8, town 0). Water taxi is great fun and worth going on- picks up from jetty on beach €4 each. We had a relaxing time in KBR in Skiathos but probably won’t come back (B&B may be) as there are lots of other Greek islands to visit.
