Skiathos Theros, Philian Hotels and Resorts

We booked Thalassa Theros due to its proximity to the town ( 10 mins ) and the beach ( 10 secs ) This hotel is part of a group Phillan and shares the reception with Thalassa Cape. On arrival, late evening, the staff were friendly and helpful explaining everything and transferring our cases to our room. Our room, 107, was listed on Jet 2 as a deluxe room and located on the ground floor. I am not sure how this compares to other rooms in the hotel as I didn't view one. The room was spacious with great aircon, however because I am picky there were a few issues. The bathroom, really big with a hairdryer but no shelf to put toiletries on, also minimal rails to hang towels. The bed was very big and the room had a kettle, fridge and a safe. Storage space was lacking and we had to ask for more hangers. First world problem I know but remember this is classed as a deluxe room. Furniture in room apart from the bed was one chair and one stool plonked in the corner, it just didn't appear right at all. Why not two chairs and a small table. The room was listed with an iron however we had to ask for one. Credit due they bought a new one for us, however there is no ironing board so we had to improvise with a towel and the edge of a table. The room is cleaned every day with fresh towels and bottles of water. There were a set of doors that led onto a balcony. These doors had outside shutters and black out curtains, an issue was that to get any sort of natural light into the room you had to open both curtains and shutters which gave no privacy . Just closing the shutters made the room dark. A pair of net curtains would make the world of difference. The balcony was good two chairs and a table, however no where to hang damp towels etc. Due to position of 107 the balcony is not that private and in many occasions people decided to leave cans and drinks on the wall. Location is right on the beach which gives an amazing view from breakfast. Breakfast is plentiful with a great choice. We used the hotel restaurant on one evening and I can highly recommend it. The hotel as its own section of beach with beds and umbrellas. However they charge 25 euro for two bed, umbrella and towels. the beds are packed tight and you have to pre book. You pay enough for the room then having to pay extra for a sun bed is a no no in my opinion. There is a decent pool at Theros with around 22 beds. a decent pool bar where you can get free towels Yep people put towels on them. Towards the end of the stay they started putting little notes out to ask people not to. So you have a choice get up and snag a bed at the pool or pay 25 euro for one at the beach. My tip walk to Swell Bar 200metres down the beach, 15 euro for two beds and an umbrella and great for lunch. The staff are fantastic and willing to engage if you take the time to speak to them and if you can afford it reward them with a little something. My best friend and I visited Theros Hotel Skiathos to celebrate her birthday. We had the most AMAZING time. The hotel facilities are wonderful, all updated and stylish and modern. The hotel is a short walk (approx 10 min) to the center of Skiathos and a 15 min walk to the ports. It was the perfect beachside escape right on the water. The food at the restaurant was also delicious. But most importantly, the service from the employees from AMAZING. This was by far the best hotel service I have ever received. They were helpful with organizing day trips, making dinner reservations at nearby restaurants, and even with laundry clean and fold. Everyone was so kind, proactive, helpful, and remembered us day after day. This made the trip extra special. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic staff , food location and comfort in the rooms. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough and this continued throughout our stay. The room was lovely and a very comfortable bed. Plenty of space and life saving air conditioning as it was very hot. The continental breakfast was first class lots of options to choose from , egg bacon sausages if you required it. The hotel was a 15 minute walk into Skiathos Center , absolutely beautiful the old town was amazing, tavernas in abundance. The hotel supplied sun beds for 15 euros for 2 which had to be booked in reception. The beach is literally two steps from the restaurant. Plenty of boat trips around the island and a local bus every 15mins to all the different beaches 2euros each. Absolutely 💯 percent recommend this hotel.

We were in Skiathos for our son's wedding so the trip and this hotel had been booked for the best part of a year. All we can say is ' perfect '....this includes the staff ( all of them...esp Anastasia on beach bed duty) , food ( esp.breakfast...plentiful & unrushed) , all good excellent value and good size portions . Our room wasn't the top one as we couldn't get in so we were in Theros...perfectly adequate as it turned out . Cleaned every day , a great shower & bathroom and an AC unit that actually worked...warm or cold. Location was excellent and outside of our wedding arrangements it was a pleasure to sit on the beach , watching the world go by , taking a dip in the very clear Aegean or ordering cooling drinks via Anastasia... totally relaxing, professional and thorough. Have no qualms about this venue...you won't be disappointed. ( There is a very good looking pool area with it's own bar and attendants....if you want even more 'quietness' that was perfect...this time we preferred the beach as it's been a while for us.... lovely)

We had 18 days in this great hotel The beach location is just amazing ,the beach is set up perfectly every morning and is just for hotel guests. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are modern and comfortable The hotel also offers a beautiful pool area with a great pool bar The dining area has a view to die for looking over the Beach and the bay Breakfast there is so much choice and selection of coffee made fresh for you on order In the evening the beach is revamped with seating and a dj for you to enjoy drinks and has a very relaxing beach club vibe The restaurant at evening serves high end dining experience and is a must do on your stay The only suggestion I would have to management is could the designate a no smoking area as it would have made our evening better not having smokers all around while we dined All in all I would recommend this hotel and I will return for sure All i

I was expecting a nice 4 star hotel by the beach but the only thing about it that felt 4 star was the lovely staff. We booked directly and were surprised to find that the majority of guests seemed to be on package holidays. The hotel itself was part of a complex of hotel buildings with a shared reception, pool and beach. This wasn't at all clear from the hotel website. The buildings were older concrete beach hotels which have had a fairly superficial facelift. The buildings seemed to have ongoing maintenance issues and we felt a bit like we'd been lured into an aging budget hotel with a flashy facade. Again, by far the best part of our stay was the extremely helpful staff. Despite looking overworked they seemed to have endless supplies of kindness, humour and professionalism.
