The Fell Hotel

Recently stayed here as we were getting married at Barden. This is a very special hotel with attentive service. The suite we stayed in had magnificent views is the dales. Room to a very high standard. Breakfast excellent. The gentleman man on reception is a credit to the hotel, I didn’t get his name but he was excellent like all the staff at the fell. Couldn’t fault The Fell at all. Thank you to everyone who made our stay special.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel for two nights. The room looked to have been recently refurbished and was very tastefully done. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, the service and food were both exceptional. Breakfast in the mornings matched this. Thank you for a great stay. We would love to return.

We stayed for one night on our way to the lakes & had high hopes for this hotel as it is in such a stunning situation but unfortunately, we did not have a great experience here. We stayed in "Cracoe" which did indeed have wonderful views but the room was very tired & in definite need of re-furbishment. The bathroom was grubby & the shower had mouldy grout & a large black mark on the glass door. The carpet ware bare in a couple of places & one of the chairs has a dangerously wonky leg! The room was vey hot & there was no air conditioning. It also lacked a fridge (which we would have expected in a 4 star hotel) so no fresh milk or cold drinking water. We did not eat in the restaurant but breakfast was good & all of the staff were very friendly. Such a pity about the room as it could have been so much nicer.

Stayed for 2 nights June 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Devonshire Fell hotel. We booked just a couple of days before our stay and could only reserve a side view room, partially overlooking the hotel car park. There were, though, very pleasant views further over the beautiful local countryside and down to the River Wharf that was only a short stroll down from the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable with full bathroom and separate bath plus walk-in shower. Breakfasts were excellent (full English etc) and we enjoyed eating in the restaurant both evenings, where the menu had sufficient options to choose. Service from staff was good throughout, with nothing seeming to be too much trouble. We have an EV and charged our car via the hotel chargers (2 units) on just one occasion without cost. The gardens around the hotel are very well maintained and there is outside seating. We were sorry we had to leave for home, but will hopefully return at some future time.

We meet family who were staying at the Fell for dinner. The hotel was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and the choice adequate . The service by all the staff was excellent and they were all very attentive. The location of the hotel is superb with super views of the lovely village of Burnsall and the river Wharfe.

Everything about our stay was just wonderful. Excellent hotel with equally wonderful staff who quietly and efficiently ensured our time was most enjoyable and relaxing. Food was AMAZING. Breakfast and Evening Meals were so good, very delicious. Huge thank you to the Chef and his team, FABULOUS.
