Castle Dargan Hotel

Totally blown away by this stunning hotel in its beautiful rural setting. We stayed in the Manor house, which was gorgeous. Staff were so friendly, couldn't be more helpful & kind. Cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough. It came as such a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be back.

Castle Dargan never fails to impress or amaze its guests. From the moment you enter its doors, you are greeted by professional staff. Went to Castle Dargan during the weekday with a friend to celebrate her birthday and Saoirse and Javier looked after our table with care, professionalism and with the highest level of service. The food was delicious, I had Chicken Wings and they were succulent and not too spicy, along with a club sandwich and chips, my friend had the salmon poke bowl and my partner had prawns and we ended up having a gorgeous dessert, that simply was one of the best desserts I ever had experienced in my life. Castle Dargan excelled itself on every level yet again and would like to wish management and staff continued success maintaining the highest quality of service and standards. As a repeat customer, I would definitely recommend the Castle Dargan Hotel for any occasion. Another satisfied customer 10/10 throughout every department

Well i guess there was a castle here at some time. Its an old house with a few nice rooms and a new hotel to the side. We got upgraded to a very nice room so i upgraded my review by one point. There were issues. Coffee machine didnt work. No hot water at night. Shower wasnt draining and overflowed. Restaurant menu very limited as was the wine choice. Food was very average. Course was quite nice but very wet and i guess you need to look out for this. Also take a buggy first time. Its a heck of a walk.

Pros: large rooms, good selection for breakfast including vegetarian and vegan options, easy drive to Sligo, peaceful grounds for passing the time. Cons: thin room walls (if your neighbor is talking or watching TV you can definitely hear them), older decor if that matters

This hotel is set in a lovely, quiet location. Room was nice, and quiet most of the time. Staff were lovely, room was set up as a twin but promptly converted to a double after asking. Plenty of parking and walks around the grounds. Would recommend a stay here.

Travelled for a wedding and couldn’t compliment the place enough. At every turn the staff on reception went above and beyond, especially Ariel. One thing I will say is the bar in the ballroom seemed to be understaffed, but I had spoken with Ben in the residents bar the day before as that was the only place we could get cocktails and he assured us he would take care of us. I’m so glad I got talking to him as through the entire evening he was present to give us excellent drinks and even better conversation about the history of the area and where in Sligo town to go for a good night out!! The room was beautiful, with a view over the hotel entrance and a fabulously comfortable bed. We didn’t make it to breakfast but the lunchtime staff the next day were really helpful. Planning on booking another stay just for myself and my partner to explore Sligo and looking forward to receiving the same top-class service again!!

CastleDargan hotel in sligo is a beautiful hotel with amazing scenery and a peaceful area. Hotel is very clean and very well maintained inside and out. We stayed 1 night and were very impressed with the rooms in particular. Very clean and spacious and the staff even left a birthday plate in our room on arrival. A lovely touch. Food in the bar was unreal and staff were pleasant and efficient, in particular Ben and the bar manager himself was very friendly and polite 5 stars all round!
