Soberton is a delightful village and The White Lion is a perfect asset to the surroundings. The pub is small - three bedrooms plus a couple of bars, a restaurant and a large garden. Bedrooms are small but tastefully furnished with good bathrooms. The restaurant serves excellent food in generous portions. The wine list is brief but quite good. Breakfast was perfectly adequate if unexciting. Coffee was poor. The staff were wonderful - efficient and friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay which we hope to repeat.

Nice looking traditional pub inside, which i had never visited before. I fancied a snack, so asked for some cheesy chips, and they were hard, and as tough as old boots. They were like they had been microwaved. I ate a few, but left the rest. Quite a simple snack, but inedible. It didn't give a good impression of what the other food may be like.

.We had a meal there on Christmas Eve. It was easy to book online. This is a very friendly place. The staff made us very welcome. There is a good range of food and wine on their menu. One thing we appreciated was that a jug of water with slices of lemon and glasses were put on the table before we had ordered. The food was delicious. We would certainly recommend This place for a meal. We stayed at the Old Signal Box at Droxford that was very close by and a very interesting and historic place to stay

I very much enjoyed our meal in the pub garden. Food ordered in bar , arrived promptly and was piping hot, good variety in menu, full meal or sandwiches available at reasonable prices. Dogs welcome in lovely garden, staff friendly and efficient. Will certainly return .

Visited with friends for lunch this week. Good selection on menu, but we all knew exactly what we were going to order. Best Chicken Kiev EVER! Compliments to the chef. Very satisfied customers, thank you. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Room was excellent and well decorated with plenty of room the heating was easy to use and with plenty of teas and coffee the food was superb and reasonably priced and the service was excellent. The outside areas were clean and well maintained with a large heated area under cover

Warmly greeted and shown to my accommodation in a building alongside the pub. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Nice meal in the pub, slept well in a comfy bed and a great breakfast and checked out and carried on with my journey. Couldn’t fault the place and couldn’t fault the staff and will stay again.
