Beautiful, fully renovated historic building with excellent and extensive spa and wellness facilities. Very professional, helpful and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast in terms of both quality and choice. Very comfortable and clean rooms. The underground parking has very spacious parking slots. A short drive from Santander but away from the crowds and noise of the city (especially during festivals). Very good value for money - a 4* hotel for 5* service and facilities.

What a treat, my husband booked 2 nights here to spoil me after an 8 hour drive across Spain from Alicante province to the ferry from Santander. The hotel is only 15-20 minutes from the ferry so a great stop over for travellers. Receptionists were friendly and helpful, we checked in and then parked underground. The buildings are quite spectacular and everything inside was extremely clean and well maintained. The room was good, bath and shower in the en-suite. Small fridge but no tea/coffee making facilities sadly. The thermal spa pool was wonderful, we booked access along with the accommodation, definitely worth it. There were also many treatments and extras available- we were happy with the pool. 2 nights was perfect, we got to explore Solares, and eat out in a local restaurant. Breakfast at the hotel was perfect - plenty of choice from the buffet and also options to order ‘cooked’ breakfast and omelettes - the coffee machine was the only negative - a pain to use and took a while to work it out, by second day we had it sussed.

We arrived at the Hotel and after we received our room we noticed the AC was not cooling I called the front desk to asked them to fix it and the manager said let me call maintenance and see what they say.. ok I waited 1 hr no change and I called again .. this time she tells me ok I’ll call maintenance again and see what they say mean while we are hot as hell and no call from the front desk. Next day I spoke to other guests and they expressed the same concern about the AC at this moment my wife and I are leaving… we had reservations form 6/23 to 6/27 but had plans to stay till 6/30 at that point we packed our bags bought a plane ticket to Portugal and we are leaving and not coming back ever to this place we are planing to go to another hotel called Gran Hotel Balneario de Puente Viesgo I hear it’s much better hotel. So if you like AC in your room I subject to look to stay in another hotel. Hope this helps you.

Castilla Termal a modern hotel that keeps the charm of the olden times in its beautiful architecture. My room was very cosy, with its classic decor in soft colours and very comfortable beds. I could see afar the motorway from my balcony across the gardens but there was absolutely no noise issue. One of the strong points of is the spa, which is a big facility with lots of space and the usual services. There were quite a few jets and the water temperature was really good. Breakfast is remarkable too, as the staff as well, very efficient and friendly.

Solo pudo decir Gracias por la maravillosa experiencia que hemos vuelto a disfrutar en este fabuloso establecimiento. La habitación que nos tocó, muy amplia y luminosa, tenía vistas a la piscina exterior. El desayuno uno de los mejores que hemos conocido. Cenamos en la terraza y tienen una parrilla que manejan muy bien, el Machote impresionante.El servicio muy amable. Nos hicimos unos masajes tailandeses, espectaculares, y las dos chicas eran tailandesas. En el garaje recargamos el coche y era gratuito. Volveremos!!! PD . Admiten perros. Hotel muy cuidado, y el que estas muy a gusto, debido a que su personal es muy amable y atento, formando un gran equipo, buscan soluciones para todo, haciendo de tu estancia una gran experiencia. Habitaciones comfortables y amplias, y un gran bufet por la mañanas, combinado con un gran restaurante si quieres comer o cenar alli. Parking gratuito y de pago. Gran eleccion tanto si quieres una escapada romantica como si vas con familia.

Un excelente lugar para una escapada relajante. Elegimos Castilla Termal Solares para un fin de semana de relax. Contratamos la Iconic Experience, la cual incluía acceso ilimitado a la piscina termal y un masaje Solares de 85 min. Por persona. LUGAR: El sitio es precioso, una cada enorme y antigua rodeada de vegetación y muy cerquita de Santander. INSTALACIONES: creo que necesitan una pequeña reforma, está todo limpio y cuidado pero hay pequeños detalles: manchas de rozaduras en las paredes, desconchones en el techo...nada grave pero son pequeños detalles a tener en cuenta. BALNEARIO: La piscina es muy grande, a una temperatura ideal. Si que es verdad que quizás a ciertas horas está un poquito masificada y hay veces que no hay chorros para todos 😅. Tienen una máquina dispensadora de agua caliente y ponen infusiones a tu disposición. El masaje fue increíble, súper relajante. Destaco la atención de Maria que es la que me lo hizo y fue una pasada. RESTAURANTE: Reservamos el menú degustacion Sabor de Amor (51€/Pagado con bebida). De aperitivo nos pusieron una cucharita de tartar de atún. Como entrante gazpacho de fresas con queso de cabra. Pescado: Bacalao al pilpil. Carne: costilla de vaca con pico de gallo. Postre: tarta de queso. Estaba todo brutal, súper bueno. A priori las raciones pueden parecer pequeñas pero para nada te quedas con hambre. No me acuerdo del nombre de las personas que nos atendieron pero fue exquisita. Muy amables y simpáticos explicándonos todo. El buffet de desayuno una auténtica pasada. Volveremos sin duda y esperamos que pronto porque nos ha encantado. Por cierto, si os hacéis del club Tantum tenéis descuentos así que os recomiendo echarle un vistazo antes de ir. 🎖9/10
