This was a great place to stay! The room and bathroom were clean, our breakfast was ready for us in the fridge. The internet worked well, the water was hot...everything was fine. There was nobody at the reception when we wanted to check in - just a note on the door with room number. For the same reason we were unable to use the pool - a special card was needed which we didn't have. There was a group of travelers with special needs adults - all of them were amazing and super friendly!

The property was super cute! Rooms were probably the coziest I’ve ever stayed at. Facility had self check in with shared kitchen you could use and prepare yourself breakfast. location was also great and very well indicated, on the map and also on the material shared by guesthouse owner. Our room had tiny windows with great view to the forest nearby. We loved our stay.

Such a cozy, simple, clean stay within the golden circle. An inspiring community doing awesome things and setting an example since 1930 as the oldest eco village. I recommend exploring the grounds, eating there, and communicating with the other travelers! The manager was very kind and flexible with our travel plans, too.

The guesthouse is set in a beautiful sustainable village, and during the Christmas season, it is enchanting with its lights. The facility is clean and well-equipped, and the location is excellent for viewing the Northern Lights, even from indoors, as the guesthouse features large windows. The shared kitchen and relaxation areas are cozy and comfortable. The context and history of the village are fascinating and inspiring. A small issue was quickly resolved by the staff, who were very helpful. I highly recommend this guesthouse! Maximum rating!

We really enjoyed our stay and were nicely surprised by the accomodation. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms clean and warm. The complex is in a beautiful setting where we had mountain views. The communal kitchen was spacious and well stocked and there were 2 lovely lounges to use as well as our rooms. It was a very relaxed setting. A word of warning, read all emails clearly before you arrive explaining where your room is and keep a copy because there was not a reception and I hadn't done so! I also didn't have access to email due to phone signal. Thankfully we found a staff member to direct us but it was just by chance. One small negative was that the pillows were thin. We had a problem with our shower and contact with staff is by email/text only, they were quick to respond though and the shower was fixed in good time. We highly recommend staying here.

Had a wonderful stay at the village. Simple and comfortable private room with shower, very clean. Common area is well equipped and comfortable. Gives you opportunities to meet other travellers from all over the world. The hosts and staff are very attentive, kind and helpful. The only thing we would have like to have was access to a microwave, but we managed without. All in all- great location, lovely hosts, felt like we were coming home every night. Highly recommend!

Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge areas and tv room that makes any stay very pleasant. Outdoor area very green and walkable. Staff was very responsive helping us to recover an electronic laptop transformer we forgot in our room two days after we checked out! We are grateful and admired by the quality of service. An oasis in the middle of nowhere.

A beautiful cottage, in a beautiful place, everything perfect. Nice common space, comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Kid played a lot with the wooden carved toys and in the lawn. Kitchen fully equipped and friendly staff. 100/100 recommend

Large rest room for 4 people. Enough place for luggage. Kitchen full with equipment. There are plenty place to walk nearby , the breakfast is excellent, i try my first traditional iceland breakfast at there. You can also find some interesting art installation there :)
