Hotel Ca'l Bisbe

Positives: clean Negatives: Staff were totally rude and had a serious attitude for no apparent reason. I came to breakfast one day with a cover up over my bikini and they snuck the cushions from the chairs from me so as not to get them wet - it was 38 degrees. I didn't realise this and took another cushion and the women came and snatched it back from me. Unbelievably rude and definitely a more polite way to go about it. Doesn't feel like a holiday, they don't carry your bags to the room, you have to get your morning tea from a machine, breakfast food is terrible. There are paper print outs all over breakfast saying "DONT TAKE FOOD FOR LUNCH" and "DONT REFIL YOUR WATER BOTTLES HERE" - if this is not offensive to you then you will probably be fine with the hotel but I would say it sums the place up. The soap dispenser in the bathroom had only 1cm of blue soap left in it - again not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. All in all a very odd place and find it extremely odd that it has good reviews...

This hotel is a 2 star at best. We arrived with a 10 month old baby and a 3 month old baby after 10 hours of travel. On checking in we were screamed at twice in the street by locals to move the car from the street as we unloaded the baby. No help is given in unloading or carrying bags from the car to the lobby or to our room. No help is given on taking bags from the room at the end of the stay. No welcome drink on arrival you are just asked to check yourself in on your phone with an app. That is not a holiday or good service .. that’s do it yourself. 5 days dirty cups were left in the room I had to ask for them to be moved and cleaned. Shower gel was left empty. (Poor quality shower gel and hand wash) no cotton wool to cleanse your face no face cloths either. Breakfast is less than average, no table service, a pretty awful coffee machine and tea served in a mug rather than a pot. Baby high chair was totally unsafe no straps to hold a baby in, and below a hard tiled floor. Unthinkable what could happen. The bar / restaurant is run by an outside company who literally chase you out of the hotel to pay a 20 euro bill when they know you are a hotel resident and the bill could be paid at the end of your stay which is fairly normal practice. It seems as though there is a shortage of money. Towels for the pool they expect you to carry up and down to your room and use for days. When you ask for pool towels they seem inconvenienced. It appears they don’t have enough towels as they were always in the dryer .. you have to wait for them to finish drying, so they clearly don’t have enough. Staff are in the main rude aggressive and defensive when you complain .. they do not want to help or go out of their way for you. I expect a holiday, I want customer service and a smile. Most things can be forgiven if people smile and try to help. A smile was difficult for most of the staff in this place. One lady was very nice, the rest were rude and abrupt. After the first night we wanted to go elsewhere we explained we were not at all happy however the manager said he could not refund us. We had a miserable time in this hotel and at least 4 mornings we went out for breakfast because it just wasn’t a nice enough holiday breakfast experience for us. We also ate out at lunch and dinner. In addition the Bathrooms very dated. Reasons not to choose this hotel.

Our 3rd stay here and highly recommend this hotel. Free hotel car park only a short walk from the hotel which is set in a lovely quiet street close to the main square with all its cafes and restaurants. Lovely clean spacious rooms, well equipped. We always looked forward to breakfast lots of choice but especially the handmade cakes and pastries and the local orange jam. We ate at the restaurant here on several evenings and the food was very good. Friendly welcoming staff .

My wife and I spent three nights here whilst hiking in the Soller area, we both had a great stay. The service on arrival was fantastic as it was throughout, the room lovely too. Breakfast was very good and the hotel had a lovely bar and outside seating area around the pool. Great location too, only a five minute walk into the main square. Highly recommended..

This is a really nice hotel, in a great location in Sóller just a minute’s walk to the main square and train/tram station but very peaceful. There are some dogs in the surrounding houses whose owners seem to think it’s ok to let them bark and yap outside non stop. Not the fault of the hotel but very annoying when you’re relaxing by the pool and it’s so quiet otherwise! The pool and surroundings are really pretty with lovely views. Breakfast is nice but for a bit repetitive. The room was very spacious. Things to improve - the sunloungers are really uncomfortable and the pillows are awful. Our room was completely soulless, just a white box, and the bathroom was dated. Overall a nice base for a short break in this lovely town!

Had a really lovely stay in Soller. Excellent location, room was a great size and a huge bed! Very clean and helpful/friendly staff. The pool area is stunning and breakfast was very well equipped with homemade cakes, pastries and cooked food. Would definitely recommend!
