Hotel El Guía

A very conveniently located, traditional hotel in central Sóller, close to the tram and train terminus. Comfortable bed and very well appointed bathroom. Loved the solarium and plunge pool although not warm enough to use when we visited. Great self service breakfast with ‘squeeze your own’ fresh orange juice. Excellent and attentive service throughout.

Wonderful, traditional family feel from the moment we arrived. Daniel greeted us and showed us to our room which was absolutely what we had asked for. Beautiful Mountain View’s. The room and bathroom were spotless and well equipped. The bed was super comfortable and there were extra pillows blankets etc. if needed. Fridge tea and coffee - perfect! The breakfast choices left us wanting for nothing. Fresh fruit and juices, hot and cold options pastries and fabulous breads. Easy reach of shops and the square with its eatery’s. The options to walk in the beautiful hills, to the port, or catch the tram or train are all on the doorstep. A warm welcome from all. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. We will be back.

El Guia has excellent location next to tram, train and the main square. There is friendly staff and quite good breakfast. There is not much storage place for clothes etc. in the room, but the room was large and clean. Taking the tram to the beach is a nice experience, but taxi is cheaper. Train to/from Palma is also nice experience.

A lovely local Mallorcan hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and characterful bedrooms and bathrooms. Comfy beds! Very nice breakfasts. Only criticism is that there are no real communal areas e.g. bar area XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Spacious and comfortable room with convenient features including HVAC, heated towel rail and jacuzzi tub. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the center of town. Lunch and dinner menu choices were a bit limited for a stay of 5+ days so would recommend considering some alternative dishes.

I Booked this “hotel” based on all the nice reviews…wow, not sure what or why but overall I feel that if you are American, you are not welcome here! We were given a teeny tiny room without working AC (it only blew air, we were not told this), it was up several flights of stairs very difficult to manage with suitcases. I booked a room for 2 based on the picture you see posted on this site, and expected a king or 2 twins, not a Double bed! The linens were cheap and smelled of others having used them, and we sweated all night! Plus we were “sold” their gated private parking for $12 EU, and were given the lousiest spot in said lot (most other spots were empty). And it was a 3 block walk to boot. NO one mentioned that the road between the hotel and the parking lot would be completely blocked by market vendors in the morning! So while I waited in the hotel for my husband to bring the car round, he was miserably lost trying to find an alternative route back to the hotel, on the skinny cobblestone streets. This delayed us by an hour, and it was Scary and frustrating to say the least. And the “included” breakfast was awful and picked over, at 9 am. Service and helpfulness was a big zero, so disappointing. I’m being completely honest here, never got any apology the hassle either. I would not recommend this place, at all. Two stars is too much, really.
