Grupotel Club Turquesa Mar

We are a family of three staying for 10 nights through TUI. We had a one bedroom apartment which was perfect as it offers a double bedroom with separate door into living/dining area with sofa bed for little one. The hotel is set in a semi built up area with easy walk to two beaches and the marina with bars and shops. The beaches are lovely with one a little more rocky than the other, we had great weather with beautiful clear sea. Be prepared for the 45mins-1hr coach journey from the airport. The reception area can get busy on departures or arrivals but they are quite efficient at sorting customers needs. There are trolleys near the entrance for luggage and lifts to rooms for access. There are quite a few ramps and stairs to rooms and there appeared to be four blocks of bedrooms. Reception staff were helpful and polite, although there is a charge per day for an iron and board if you want it. We paid for the safe. Towels were free but a cash deposit €10 or £10 I think. Cash deposits were required for the safe too. They held on to our passport for the first 24 hours. The room was clean and tidy with all the amenities we needed, it’s probably due a referb I’d say but not bad overall. The shower was quite slow in pressure but adequate if a little small in the cubical, we had a bath and sink and it’s a decent sized bathroom (with a frosted glass door). We had a large fridge which was handy (you can turn it up to icy cold!) the air con was effective and it’s one that switches off with removal of the room card. There was a tv in the bedroom and dining area which had a couple of UK channels. There was a lovely balcony which was quite small but enough to sit and read a book and space to hang wet clothes. The bed was comfy for us and there was enough wardrobe space. The rooms didn’t have blackout curtains. The cleaner was polite and efficient. The entertainment was put on by an amazing, enthusiastic team with a lovely team ethic for the kids especially. Donovan was a great fitness instructor with a fun and energetic style. Look out for TuiBot, quizzes, good acts and general entertainment. Personally I find the daytime entertainment a little loud at times. The pools were clean, with great facilities for the smaller and larger kids. The indoor poor is a little warmer than the outdoor pools which were very cold especially in the morning. Aqua-fitness was great. If you want a quieter and calming experience then venture to the ‘quiet’ pool, I found it very peaceful, it’s set in the rural section behind the hotel which it’s much quieter. It warms up nicely thought out the day and it’s a grassed area with sub-beds. There are not many sunshades in this area, but there is some shade under the trees. It’s also a little breezier. It’s a bit of a walk to the bar or loo, but worth it overall. The loos around the main pool are a little cramped and could be a little cleaner, although adequate. The food was generally good. The hotel and staff are lovely and can not fault it! The cleaners are fantastic and keep the rooms lovely. The rooms are large and well equipped, slept well but the pillows are lumpy and awful. They definitely need something better. The food is lovely, and we enjoyed everything we ate here, it can get a little repetitive as you'd expect with an all inclusive but they do different themes every night to try and keep it interesting. We did walk down to the harbour a few nights a week and eat there, which was a lovely change and not expensive. Food and atmosphere at the harbour are brilliant! The entertainment crew work extremely hard, and the kids love them. The only thing letting them down is there mics 🎤 but you can see they are as frustrated with it as we were! Needs sorting out. Pools are lovely and weren't cold while we were here. They got straight in 🙂 plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. The only down side was the hotel is full of young kids and babies that do noting but cry and kick off so if your kids are bigger or your adult only I would suggest somewhere else 🙂 i like kids but after 10 days I won't be sorry not to hear one crying constantly! Cala n bosh is beautiful but not a lot to do other than the harbour and for that reason we wouldn't return we did get on the bus to cuitadella which was nice but again once you've been once I wouldn't go again all shops selling same tourist tat.

The hotel complex is perfect for families. All inclusive was great. Good food variety and quality in the restaurant. Pools were superb. Excellent entertainment and activities. Rooms are clean and spacious and well equipped. Only downside is the Taverna rests choice, it was poor, tempura fish was soggy batter! It is much better in the main dining room!

Our second summer here,we even came for 10 days instead of 7 and didn’t want to come home. Staff all as accommodating and friendly as ever,on hand with any questions and so helpful for the children. Kids club was so safe and happy for the two children (3&6 years old.) The evening disco/kids entertainment and adult activities were fab. Pools and restaurant the same as we recall-clean and great choice of food for all of us even picky eater toddler! Snack bar a great help too and refreshed through the day by staff so you know food isn’t just sat out with the heat. We were in block 2 last year and block 4 this time so had a different room but same clean,tidy, and as described on booking which was suitable for the 4 of us during the stay. We will be back again no doubt and thank you all at Turquesa Mar for another fantastic stay!!

We are an older couple, our expectations were low as for us not usually using family hotels. We were greatly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. The hotel, staff, facilities ,food and our room were all brilliant. The manager went out of his way to be helpful. would certainly recommend. i have been lucky enough to have many holidays worldwide including long haul and cruises. this was a very enjoyable two chilled weeks in the sun.

We stayed at Grupotel Club Turquesa Mar first week of June. The hotel was fine. I'd agree with other reviews that say it's a 3* NOT a 4*. It's dated and it needs a refresh but all areas were very clean and the Tui Blue staff clearly care. It's very much a hotel for families, so beware childfree people! For that reason, I didn't have many complaints about the lack of luxury; I wasn't worried if my 3 year old made a mess. The kids pools are great (again, probably need updating but the kids loved them). There's a splash pool for babies that was under a cover for shade most of the time, and another, deeper pool for toddlers and young kids with slides. Adult pools also fine, although being my first ever package holiday, I found the constant music annoying. There weren't quite enough parasols for the number of sun loungers, and people break the rules and reserve them early (possibly because pools open at 10, which is a little late), but we always managed to find a spot. It was the first week of consistently hot weather in Menorca, and the pools were a little chilly when you first got in, but then actually very swimmable. There's a sauna and a steam room but you have to ask to have these turned on in advance. They also need updating. Dining was... interesting! The food was actually okay - lots of fried beige of course, but lots of choice and dinner on 'themed' nights I'd say was better quality. The only problems for me were the synthetic desserts (yuck!), and the dining area, which is in a huge ballroom and was a bit like feeding time at the zoo, no matter how early you tried to get there. It was an unpleasant experience and we tired of it very quickly. That said, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and it didn't matter if your toddler made a mess and had a tantrum in the middle of it all. You can choose to eat once per week as part of AI in the Taverna restaurant, but it's only available on certain days so book ahead. Because of this, we didn't manage to. I doubt the food is much better as it's the same chefs and a similar menu, but the experience seems like it would be nicer. We won't go all inclusive to a hotel with this dining set up again. There's a small kids playground but the slides are roasting in the sun. We used the creche a couple of times. It was easy to pre-book a number of sessions via the app, but turning the pre-booking into actual slots was a bit more complicated due to a system change. I'd wait until arrival to book. The staff at the creche were professional and lovely and our toddlers adored them. They had a great time! We didn't take part in the activities but there were lots you could do (schedule via the Tui Blue app). The mini disco could be a bit earlier for the younger ones. The hotel is very close to two incredible beaches, with some nice restaurants, so I recommend spending most of your time there. Similarly, Cuitadella is a short bus trip away and it is stunning.
