Grand Hotel Riviera

We spent 2 nights in this amazing hotel. We arrived on the first opening day after being closed for renovation. We were expecting some kind of hiccup because it was their first day and I can honestly say that they were 100% prepared and our stay was flawless. The rooms were beautiful, big and comfortable. The view from our balcony (room 510) was absolutely breathtaking. We always ended the day at their bar and Mario (bar manager) and Giuseppe aka Luigi (great bar tender) always made sure we were happy, greeted us with a smile, had great recommendations and great conversations. Overall we were very happy that this was our last stop in Italy because we left on a high note. We will definitely return to this hotel!!!

Our 1st time to Sorrento, the facility has a breathtaking view over Mediterranean Sea, hotel was spotless, excellent continental breakfast & top notch staff! Mario & Guieseppe the bartenders made our night at the Blu Lounge! We will definitely stay here again.

We loved every minute of staying here. Each staff member we engaged with were wonderful and they work incredibly hard. The food and view at this hotel is amazing.. On one of the nights they had a solo saxophonist playing during dinner, I got teary eyed listening to him and just being in awe and feeling gratitude for being at such beautiful location overlooking the magnificent ocean. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Four of us were here for 4 nights and would love to have stayed longer. The hotel is clean, quiet, and has outstanding views. We ventured out into the center of Sorrento a couple of times (easy walking distance from the hotel) where we were surrounded by noise, crowds, and general craziness. This hotel is a lovely oasis of calm whch was very noticeable each time we returned. We had the least-expensive, garden-view room but it was completely adequate for our needs. Breakfast was extensive each day with many selections and an omelet station most days. The "Beach Club" (not a beach but a deck with loungers and easy access to a quiet, bouyed-off swimming area in the ocean) was relaxing with gorgeous views. There is a pool too, which we did not use but looked lovely. The staff are excellent. Special shout out to Francesco at the front desk who was super helpful and very patient with us. Luigi the food manager was also excellent each day (and night, jeez he works long hours) making us feel welcome and helping us with packed lunches for our excursions. Luigi and Antonio who were regular servers in the restaurant were also great. The hotel also has two fabulous lounges which I wish we had spent more time in. Overall, could not recommend this place more highly.

After more than 30 years, a significant birthday, and a wedding invitation, I did a little research before booking this beautiful Hotel. Staying in the Riviera Gran Suite, we were completely taken aback by this Hotel. The suite itself was spotless, catered for all needs, the wrap around terrace gives 180 views across to Capri & Vesuvius. Plenty of privacy and sun bathing room. Cleaning twice a day. Breakfast is served on the ground floor balcony, eggs are cooked fresh for you, and there is every kind of food in abundance. There’s a bar and afternoon/dinner terrace. Dining here is an experience in itself. The most amazing menu and food. Even the room service burgers and soups were so tasty. Some of the food arrived tepid / almost cold in the restaurant and that would be my only criticism. The outside swimming pool and separate, private sea swimming/bathing area also lovely. Excursions can be arranged at reception, along with private transfers from the airport to the hotel. Staff here are so attentive, kind, caring. They simply can’t be any more helpful. Sorrento town centre is a 5 minute walk through a park to reach the first square. En route is a 1 star Michelin restaurant. The shops and cafes are amazing. Night time vibes are completely different and so inviting. We felt safe the whole time we were there. I would most definitely recommend this hotel, and we will be back at some point in the future.

Highly recommend! We booked this hotel last minutes after exhausting our search for an affordable hotel in a prime location of Sorrento. The staff was exceptional. The rooms are simple but extremely clean and comfortable. The views from the terraces are breathtaking. Truly a gem!
