Chalet Lidia

I don’t even have words to describe this beautiful chalet with it’s garden! Was more that we have expected, from Giuseppe ( the host ) and his family, that made us feel more than welcomed, to the beautiful city that Sorrento is. A stunning garden with a lot of lemon trees that all the family takes care of, a very nice pool where you can lay down all day and have some drinks from the bar, a very very good home made breakfast and a nice welcoming lemon water from the host. We felt part of their family and the only regret was that our trip was to short. But this is a fact that we will be back and 100% will choose again this chalet.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in Chalet Lidia last week during our trip to Italy, and across all the places we visited (Milan, Venice, Lake Garda, Sorrento, Naples), this was easily our favourite! The Chalet is placed in the corner of the family home's beautiful garden (filled with lemon trees, hammocks, a swimming pool), situation just a few minute walk away from Sorrent's centre. I was very impressed with how spacious and quiet the garden felt, despite being so close to everything! We both slept well in the Chalet and the small size was still plenty for our needs. Our host (Giuseppe) was amazing, and introduced us to the whole family over the course of our stay. Everyone was so incredibly nice and we felt very welcome. We decided to go for the breakfast on one of the mornings, which is easily well worth the cost! Homemade pastries, orange juice fresh from their own orange tree's, cheese, ham, wide selection of yogurts and drinks (incl espresso). Overall we were super impressed with Chalet Lidia, and although we had unusually rainy weather during our stay in May, the beautiful accomodation and welcoming hosts made it our favourite stop. Highly recommended and we would love to come back (with hopefully some sun this time!)

A must stay! We had the most incredible stay for 4 nights. Giuseppe and his family are the best hosts we’ve had had - so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond and made us feel apart of the family! Also had great knowledge & recommendations. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with lots of beautiful places to sit, lemon trees and overall just a peaceful and magic place to be. The pool was wonderful! We had breakfast one day and was blown away - such good value for money. The property is a peaceful oasis and a great location, a short walk to marina, port, and lots of restaurants & shops. The property was very clean and the service was great. We are sad we didn’t stay for longer but hope to come here again! It’s a must book for a stay in Sorrento.

The location is the winner here & perfect for solo travellers. The chalet & suite are within grounds of the family home but you are still private with hospitality on hand if you need. For me, a find like this beats a hotel room every time. Once through the gates to this beautiful garden space I felt both safe & welcome. The magic is that you are in this peaceful place but can go out of the gate & walk 2-3 mins & you are on Corso Italia & heading to the buzz of Piazzo Tasso. Great communication too with the lovely family & especially Giuseppe who will arrange airport transfer etc. Chalet is daily cleaned too, towels changed. There is also a garden room for optional, delicious breakfast.
