My wife and I stayed at this wonderful B&B this past December. We were ecstatic with the choice that we made in staying here. It was recommended in one of Rick Steves books and it was a spot on choice. The room was spacious, comfortable and overlooked one of the main streets in Sorrento. It is located near Sorrento's Piazza Tasso which was decked out in Christmas lights and this just added to the magic of our stay. The staff of Allesandra, Luciana, and Mikel were great in all aspects of our stay. They were helpful in suggesting various restaurants, sights to see and made sure that our stay was relaxing. They also prepared a bona fide feast for breakfast that you should never miss. However, one morning we had a tour that left early before breakfast and Allesandra packed us a bag of goodies to take with us. If we ever get back to Sorrento we would stay here again in a heart beat.

Palazzo Starace was a great find! Recommended by Rick Steves, it did not disappoint. Centrally located in the heart of Sorrento, we were able to walk everywhere. There are lots of great restaurants all around. Although the address is Via Santa Maria della Pieta, a charming cobblestone alley, it also faces on Corso Italia, which is a pedestrian street with lots of great activity. It's a mere 2 minute walk to Piazza Tasso, the heartbeat of Sorrento. Palazzo Starace is centrally located in Sorrento, and Sorrento is centrally located to lots of great activities. Touring Sorrento is fun in itself, and it's just a 40-minute train ride to Pompeii. Hop down to the marina to catch a ferry out to Capri, and don't miss the drive along the Amalfi coast! Palazzo Starace is a B&B, and the breakfast is not to be missed! Fresh coffee, served however you like it, eggs cooked to order, bacon, delicious breakfast cakes, etc., etc. and so forth. It's a wonderful way to start your day. The staff is super friendly and we absolutely loved them all. Luciana, Allesandra and Mikel made us feel right at home. Our room was a bit spartan, but it was not an issue for us as we were there to explore the breathtaking surroundings.

This was a great find. We were staying in a different hotel that could not accommodate our third night so we went searching. This hotel is in an old vertical style building converted to a working hotel. There is no elevator but they have a luggage lift that was a life saver for our heavy bags. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, giving great dining options and they allowed us an early checkin which was awesome because we were heading over to Capri for the day. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh melon, eggs to order and of course cappucino were amazing. The location was ideal, albeit a bit noisy(festive) in the early evening.

We stayed here Oct 26 thru the 30th 2024. Location was super for everything we wanted to do. Everywhere was walkable. The room was spacious with a balcony for people watching while sipping wine or an espresso. The breakfast set the bar high for the rest of our trip and it was the best. We did go thru Rick Steves and got a discount, but even w/o the B&B was very reasonable. The hosts & staff were very friendly & accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
