We had an amazing stay at the Oliver inn. The inn was stunning. The room was huge, with a king size bed, and the softest sheets I’ve ever felt. I’m still kicking myself that I didn’t ask what brand the sheets were so that I could get some of my own. Our room was huge, with heated towel ranks, and a two person garden tube! The inn Had old world charm with beautiful woodwork work and furnishings! Alice made us an excellent breakfast and provided excellent service. It was a perfect stay!

Alice & Tom are terrific. This place is immaculate and so comfortable. They catered to our requests for breakfast and made the most delicious coffee cake. The best place to stay in South Bend. This was our second stay and we will be back for a third stay soon. 😊

I discovered this Inn several years ago and have stayed here exclusively since then. No hotel in the area matches the ambience and graciousness of the the innkeepers - Tom and Alice. They are always helpful and ready to meet your needs. A great place to stay! Alice always makes delicious and nutritious breakfasts and provides gluten free or other dietary options when requested. This is my "home away from home" when I visit South Bend

We were in South Bend to visit Notre Dame. The house is amazing, with so many original features. It is clean, comfortable, and the hostess, Alice, is great. Her breakfasts and home made cookies were wonderful, and there is a very good restaurant next door. The house is only about 7 minute drive from Notre Dame. It was definitely worth saying here as opposed to one of the chain hotels slightly closer to the campus.

Highly recommend! Our second visit and not our last. Tom and Alice are the perfect hosts. The Inn is spotless, comfortable, quiet, and provides so many amenities. Alice's breakfasts are delicious and filling! You will miss out if you don't book here!

My wife and I deeply enjoyed our stay at the Oliver Inn. The decor of the house was very authentic and Tom and Alice did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable! They had a butler's kitchen stalked with Tea, Coffee, and homeade cookies that was open all night. Nothing like warm tea and a working gas fireplace to make you feel comfortable! Would highly recommend!

Fabulous historic building with modern fixtures. Alice was a great host. Breakfast was superb. We had full use of the facility including the refrigerator and freezer in "the butler's pantry" which was important as we were travelling with perishable food gifts. The restaurant next door is also very nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The elegant breakfasts (lace tablecloth, candlelight, lovely food presentation) and the entire atmosphere (fireplace in our room, claw-foot bathtub!) made for a wonderfully relaxing weekend. When Alice realized it was our anniversary she made us our own heart-shaped German pancake for breakfast. Tom & Alice were welcoming, attentive and helpful with suggestions of local attractions. If you enjoy the Victorian era, you will enjoy this bed & breakfast.

Great place when visiting Notre Dame…friendly hosts and guests, clean, good food. Would recommend the Tippecanoe next door for dinner. You get a discount if added to B and B bill. It’s very close to Notre Dame which is also worth visiting. Breakfast was a quiche, fruit and a homemade coffee cake. Wonderful chocolate chip cookies welcomed us the day we arrived.
