Avenue Motel Apartments

I went here with my boyfriend over the weekend of his birthday. We've been trying some motels and hotels through Toowoomba, and decided to try out Avenue. We will definitely be back here again!! First of all, before our stay, there was an issue on my end concerning payment. The staff attempted to contact me a few times through call, which I missed, and yet when they finally got through to me, the lady was very kind and understanding, helping sort the issue out and giving me time. I appreciate this. During the stay, we didn't encounter the staff or any other guests - we were given the most privacy, without feeling as though we were being avoided. There was a way to contact reception over an intercom-type system in the room, and so I felt that if I had any issues, I could easily get help with that. Once our stay ended, the staff were lovely and the man who I assume was a manager or owner of some type was very kind and friendly, interacting with us as we waited outside the guest laundry after checkout. They allowed us to wait for our clothes to dry, and I did not feel rushed or pressured to leave. The atmosphere was nice and private, quiet and relaxing. The rooms were absolutely lovely, clean, well maintained, and we absolutely loved the features. While our room didnt have a washing machine or drier, many rooms there do. The free internet was fast, the room came with aircon, a fan, a balcony/courtyard, wonderful shower and bathroom, a microwave, and everything we would need during our stay. I loved the small milk they kept in the fridge for us. There was no minibar, but plenty of snacks and drinks available at reception. I loved the location. Avenue motel is very close walking distance to many foodaries, fast food, ice cream places, cafes, and restuarants. You can walk up to coles and kmart, and personally i really loved the rspca opshop nearby, as well as the Southern Hotel and parks. Avenue was the perfect location for that city feel, being close enough drive to the city centre, without the noise and business of being there. It was quiet, refreshing, and amazing worth for the money spent there. The bed was very comfortable!! If you're looking for a great, private place to stay that isnt too expensive and definitely worth the money, with a fancy room that includes everything you would need for a short or long stay, I would definitely recommend this motel.

Super happy we chose the Avenue Motel for our weekend away. Super comfy bed and pillows, we were given an upgrade to a King sized bed, large room with a little balcony with a table and chairs, proper wine glasses and milk for our cuppas. Perfect

This motel is No. 1 on Trip Adviser but it is difficult to see why. The cooking facilities provided in the room were minimal and the motel is not as well located to the areas we wanted to visit (CPD & public gardens) as I would have liked. We would look for a motel closer next time.
