Premier Inn Southampton City Centre (West Quay)

Arrived just after the official check in time, self service check in machines not working, but the 2 members of staff did a good job, checking in the guests. We had a premier plus room on the 5th floor, which was very comfortable, only comment the hairdryer wasn’t very powerful. A shame Thyme restaurant and the bar was closed for refurbishment while we were there.

Staff went above and beyond, customer service. Very efficient and friendly staff member assisted to print documents and how-to get urgent prescription as I had left in error my overnight bag. The assistance allowed me to relax and enjoy my holiday.

Stayed in a Premier Plus room on floor 5. It was clean and comfortable with a few extras such as bottled water and chocolates. The rain shower was so powerful that I would have drowned if I had opened my mouth. The hotel lobby was chaotic with people checking out and others trying to check in. The parking at the hotel is non existent and you can pull your vehicle into the Moxy hotel parking lot in order to check in, however, only for 10 minutes without getting a large fine. This is a big problem with this hotel.

Arrived for a two night stay at the Premier Inn at West Quay. Hotel clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Prior funds taken for two meal deals and breakfast weeks before our arrival only to be told a week before our trip that the kitchen and bar area was going to be closed due to refurbishment. Refund applied for but would take 4 weeks to process. Room cold and air con and heating is centrally controlled so you had to go down to reception to ask for your room to be warmed. Bed very comfortable. No telephone in room so you have to physically go down to reception to request or report issues. Complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and pastries offered as a pacifier due to bar and restaurant being closed. No cutlery, plates etc - poor organisation. We are due to stay again late November so let’s hope they are sorted by then!!

It’s a typical Premier Inn; comfortable clean and good value. It’s right in the city centre and next to a car park. Staff were friendly. The bar and restaurant are currently closed for refurbishment but they had put on a complimentary breakfast to help yourself from in the foyer.

So upon arrival was informed that no cooked food would be on offer as restaurant being renovated. Why were guests not informed of this prior so that they could make a choice to stay before arrival. As a guest I made my choice based upon convenience and I don’t want to be looking around Southampton for breakfast. The few good points room clean and bed comfortable but corridor stunk of ****. Won’t be staying here again and I will never recommend it

We usually stay in very very nice hotels. However, looking round PI West Quay I would say in some areas this PI excels the finer hotels we’ve stayed in! Our room was scrupulously clean, quiet, with every amenity we needed Tea and coffee reserves were plentiful in reception, and the bathroom and double shower were fabulous. Ideally located for the city centre with a cheap car park just behind (£7 for 24hrs) Lastly the staff! We couldn’t have been more warmly welcomed by the lovely Sammy and Ross- what a credit they are to the PI chain! So helpful, kind, accommodating - an asset to the company We will definitely be back for this was faultless stay.

Once again, we experienced great service here even though they were very busy! Friendly & helpful staff. Fab food & great rooms. We are returning customers & highly recommend this Premier Inn 👌 The current manager is very hands-on and we found him efficient and friendly 😊

Perfect location for our one night pre cruise stay. We parked at West quays shopping centre which is next to the hotel, £7 for 24 hours. Loads of restaurants and shops for last minute essentials at West Quay centre, good self service breakfast in morning and a 5 minute drive to the cruise terminal.
