Went to the restaurant for my evening meal. As I didn’t reserve a table, I felt I was an inconvenience when asked if I had reserved a table. I was escorted at 20mph to a table the other end of the restaurant and then by the time I got to the table, the lady who escorted me said that there was a limited menu. That was no joke. I am vegetarian and the only thing on the menu I could have was a Salad. When I questioned was this correct, she said yes and apologised. I declined the food and went back to the Premiere Inn reception and asked for my meal deal money back. I spoke with the Manager and she told me that there was a national issue with all Whitbread restaurants with the supply of food. She kindly gave me a plate, so I could order a takeaway and eat in my room. Unfortunately, there was no Chinese takeaways that would be prepared to deliver to the Premiere Inn due to distance. I ended up ordering a Dominoes Pizza which took an hour to deliver. Eating at 9pm, was not my idea of eating at a reasonable time. I then decided to call Customer Services the day after to raise my disappointment. To my amazement, they wouldn’t speak with me unless I had my reservation number. I explained I was driving, but I was confident they could find me by my email address. This was declined and when I asked for a Mamager, they terminated the call. Now that’s Customer Service…NOT!
