The Woodlands Hotel owner allowed my Veteran members to park their cars in their Car Park whilst we went on a trip to a museum in London. On our return we all went into the Hotel for a drink where Gan and his amazing staff offered us Scampi Chips and Peas, saying it was no trouble. His wonderful staff made us very welcome, as we all decided to stay. The white table cloths and prestige napkins came out and we all sat and ended our day together over a meal and a drink. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the Staff at The Woodlands Hotel, this is not the first time this has happened and no doubt it won’t be the last. NOTHING has ever been too much trouble for these amazing people. THANK YOU Gan and Staff for being you and helping us to end our day together, no one wanted to go home to cook!! X

The room was clean and plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was as expected. We were there for a wedding, Chan and the staff couldn’t do enough for us and worked very hard to make sure we were all taken care of. This was our first time in Spalding but will return and will stay at The Woodlands Hotel.

Cant praise enough how helpful the manager, Gan and the rest of the staff were at this hotel, we booked our small wedding there and they constantly went above and beyond to meet our needs all for a reasonable price, the hotel is lovely and cozy and in a great location in relation to Spalding town center and its surrounding areas. its also a great venue for all kinds of occasions. Thank you to Gan and his Team for making our special day even more special.

Staff all very pleasant,helpful and eager to do anything that would make our stay more pleasant. Accommodation cost was reasonable and bar prices good. They didn’t serve everything you would expect in a pub but did stock brands we wanted for our stay.

We had a two night stay here for the second time this time was for a 60th birthday party for my mum, we have a three course meal and drinks and entertainment, I have to say the food was absolutely delicious really fantastic hats off to the chef and the team here all worked extremely hard and nothing was to much and all so friendly, big shout out to Janie who was polite friendly and chatty as always, very welcoming as well as Jan the owner perfect host highly recommend this hotel and room for hire for occasion perfect

We used the hotel for a wake in the afternoon after a funeral. We arrived at the hotel and the room was set out beautifully with seating and crisp white table cloths and all of the guests were offered tea and coffee immediately making it very social, even even though it was a low key event. The food was wonderful with a hot finger buffet followed by an assortment of cakes. The staff were very friendly and all of the cutlery and crockery was spotlessly clean. We thank everyone at the hotel for making the afternoon a lovely event following a sad occasion.

We were married at the venue in September 2024 and our dealings with the hotel management team from the initial meeting onwards allowed us together to create our perfect wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and everything during the day flowed perfectly for us and our guests. We were able to offer an excellent choice of menu catering for all tastes which was enjoyed by all. Our chosen decor was presented immaculately and expertly. The whole event which we had planned far exceeded our expectations and we and our guests had an amazing day.

Sorry this review is late we had our wake here on the 21st March 2025 Gan and his staff were so attentive and nothing was to much trouble for them the food was excellent the staff just seem to know when you wanted them would definitely hold any parties, wakes or receptions here. Once again thank you all at The Woodlands Spalding The Thorold family

The staff at the woodlands Hotel are amazing. They treat everyone so well and nothing is too much trouble. We all know that going to the woodlands Hotel Gan will go the extra mile for us. We have children but they don't mind they try their hardest to accommodate us Always.
