Guesthouse Villa Scalaria

Split perfection What a wonderful home away from home in Split! Perfect location, incredibly generous size, clean, parking on site. We arrived late, and Julia was just so warm and accommodating and generous and friendly. She is a gem. What a delightful stay!

Fabulous Stay Great location. Close proximity to Old Town and all the great Restaurants and Bars. Far enough away to be quiet and comfortable. Room was beautiful and well appoointed.

We only stayed for one night at the room, and as other reviewers have mentioned, the owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was possible to leave our luggage in reception while we went exploring prior to the next stage of our journey. The stairs to Marjan Park were right opposite the hotel. The walk from the bus station along the promenade was short and easy, even with a wheelie case. The Old Town was very close and the area felt very safe. Our room did not have a view, but the beds and bathroom were spotless and we had a very good night's sleep.

This property deserves a 10 out of 10. From very helpful and friendly staff to right on the edge of great eating and the Palace, we wouldn’t consider anything else if we ever went back.

Basic, budget property. Property entrance was not super obvious. There is a back door you use to enter the building. You can also access the property from the garage. Julija was very helpful in helping us get to the property and showed us around. Although the service was satisfying, I personally will not stay at a property without common areas again. There is a reason why they only show pictures of the room and location, but no exterior and interior of the building. It looks to us like they just own one floor of this building (not sure what the rest was). We're not used to this type of set-up. If you can pay more, maybe don't try to save the money and stay somewhere else instead. If you have a rather tight budget, this property have the basics to meet your needs. It is in a great location though, walking distance to Riva promenade - close enough to things but far enough from loud areas.
