MainStay Suites Springfield South - Battlefield Rd

So run down and not enough help. Update the place and hire enough help to meet expectations for simple accommodations. Stayed while visiting family here in Springfield. I'm from Tennessee and am used to clean rooms and friendly service. Neither were met here. Stains on sheets, dirty dishes left in kitchen, and depleted breakfast while font desk checked out guests demanding attention. I left feeling neglected and a burden.

Arbor Suites went above and beyond for my family during our stay. I cannot thank them enough. The suites were spacious and fit our families needs well. The kitchen was very useful. Anytime we needed anything, they were super helpful. We will book again with them!

This was certainly a mistake to try & overlook things to stay one night here. We’ve never seen a hotel like this. The upstairs “penthouse “ was literally an old run down very dirty & very bad smelling apartment. Pics will show the disrepair of the bathtub, hair balls on floor, Murphy bed mattress coming apart (looked like rats had been tearing it up) & my daughter’s socks black on bottom from walking once across floor from bed to kitchen. It was too late to find another place plus we were already charged for the room so we put up with it but it was not a good sleep by any means. Without trusting the Murphy bed my daughter attempted to sleep on a small pull out futon but it was hard as a rock. No bedding for any of the futons or Murphy bed so went to office to get them. Was given obviously dirty blankets. Lady at front desk was nice. So that’s good. This was the longest night just basically being uncomfortable waiting till morning so we could leave. Never again. We’ll always check reviews more closely before booking a hotel room. Also to get a shower I wore flip flops & dried off with my own hand towel because the towels were not clean - visibly soiled and full of hair.

Wasn’t asked if I wanted smoking or non smoking room. Stayed in 111, dishes in dishwasher were dirty, gnats in room from surety dishes. A light bulb was missing in the bathroom so you could see up in it and see all the nastiness. Room stunk of old cigarette smoke, sliding glass door was open 4” and room thermostat was set at 65* but AC never caught. No ironing board. Would NOT recommend Arbor Suites to anyone. Nurse at the hospital said Arbor Suites Medical was a dump and Arbor Suites Mall was good, neither were great but Arbir Suites Mall was a DUMP! Even had to pay more for the stay at the DUMP! Terrible experience, they should be shutdown! Wasn’t even supposed to be in Springfield but a friend ended up being transported from Branson to Springfield by ambulance and hospital doesn’t let anyone stay overnight.
