Preah Vihear Jaya Hotel

Entering the hotel's shady garden feels like arriving in an oasis. It is well tended, and the beautifully designed large bungalow rooms are spotless. But what really made our stay so memorable was the manager, Mr. Sok Thearith, and his professional and charming staff. The ever cheerful Mr. Thearith went to great lengths to put together transport for our visit to the Preah Vihear temples, then getting up at 5.30 am just to make sure we would get our breakfast from the kitchen (they also got up extra early!) and to send us off on the tuktuk (?) he had organised. He also found us an entertaining and safe driver, Mr. Mon, to get us to Anlong Veng and the Thai border the next day. The charming restaurant staff gave us truly five-star treatment, and the food was exceptionally good. Big thanks to everybody for making our visit such a pleasure!

Pas d'eau chaude - portes de placards maintenues par du papier - tiroir coincé - tapis SDB douteux - WC sale - cuvette WC non stable - pommeaux douche et robinet non détartrés - tâches sur les murs et plafonds - interrupteurs, support télécommande climatisation, écran TV et télécommandes sales - accrocs aux draps - grilles frigo rouillées - sachets de thé non emballés - poussière et déchets au-dessus de l'armoire - panne d'électricité - climatisation défaillante. Contrairement à ce qui est annoncé : pas de bar. Personnel non concerné : sur téléphone, en discussion derrière le bar non opérationnel, non anglophone et fuyant. Abords piscine non entretenus et eau verdoyante. Diner limite correct mais petit-déjeuner catastrophique : oeufs douteux, pas de jus de fruits ...

Cet hôtel est à éviter absolument. Tout est sale, vétuste. La robinetterie défectueuse, les draps tachés et impossible d'en trouver des propres. La télé ne fonctionne pas. Le coffre-fort idem ainsi que le frigo hors service. La salle de bain très très sale. La piscine "en travaux" Le petit déjeuner, service minimum.
