Enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly. Only problem was that a couple staying in a room above us on our third night kept walking around and making noises. Floors are wooden so we had a hard time sleeping.

Tired, dated property that needs refurbishing. Past it’s prime.
Room was dusty, not clean, food in fridge, no glassware. Exterior needs some care. Very disappointed.

Great place to stay in St. John’s. Close to restaurants, shops and the harbour. Room was quiet on the 4th floor and the in room thermostat was great on those really warm days. Breakfast of juice, coffee, muffins, yogurt and croissants was enough to get the day started.

We had a great stay at this property, walkable to all the sites. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have come across in a hotel. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location, back door to hotel has access to courtyard and George Street. Continental breakfast consists of muffins, croissants, oatmeal, fruits, juice, yogurt and coffee. Beds very comfortable. Signature room is very spacious and comfortable.

Our VIP benefit seemed to have been two cans of Coors Lite in the room mini-frig. We didn’t drink them. The building is in a great location and architecturally interesting but noting seems to have been updated over the past decade. The breakfast was disappointing, perhaps the worst we experienced during a 12 day trip to Newfoundland. The breakfast area is far too small for the number of guests trying to use it. It’s an ok place to stay if you ge a decent rate but don’t splurge to stay here.

Very happy with the hotel but when I booked it I thought we had a partial ocean view..no view only looking at the courtyard and the other part of the hotel

We were here years ago and loved it but not so much this time. Lovely when you saw water, not The Keg(not your fault though) and we loved the boutique back then. We are in our mid 70s and had to walk up a set of stairs with our luggage to the 4th floor. No one offered to help and we were fine but other seniors would find this too much. In the bathroom the toilet paper was beyond arm’s length behind the toilet….surely you could use a standing holder in the front beside the sink. All in all, our stay here was fine. Nothing great, but nothing terrible either.
