Overall excellent! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. My only comment is that the gym is poorly ventilated, but that is typical of hotel gyms.

We had a nice three day stay at the DoubleTree. The location is great (east of downtown, 15 min walk to most restaurants) with a commending view of the harbour and Signal Hill. The hotel itself feels new or recently refurbished. The room and bathroom were spacious and tastefully decorated (maritime theme). However, there was no bottled water in the room. When I asked for some, the staff obliged, however I was not informed that there would be a charge of $3 per bottled applied to my stay. Moreover, room service was iffy as the coffee mugs were not changed unless I asked the front desk to do so. Given the price of the room I feel like those details should not be overlooked.

This property was a good value given the plentiful amenities and the prime location in the city of St. John’s. We had an incredible view of the harbour, the front desk staff and cleaning staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel bar was the only negative. The bartender we interacted with was surly and unresponsive. We took our business to a neighbouring hotel bar and had a great time.

Hilton is normally a consistent product but we found it tired, lacking detail and for our last evening we were moved to a room outside lift on 3rd floor! There was constant noise all night!

The room was small bathroom fan was very dirty side of headboard also dirty the toilet holder was hanging off the wall .
