Hotel Zimmerbräu

Second stay at Hotel Zimmerbrau - the first being in 2019. An absolute gem of a hotel perfectly located in the center of St. Wolfgang. Spotlessly clean, a breakfast which is the best I have ever had in Europe, free parking, and a private bathing area right on the lake with its own “Honor Bar” refrigerator. I am sure we will be back for a third stay some time in the future. Recommend without any hesitancy whatsoever.

Great traditional hotel in a beautiful Austrian town. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Great location for touring in the region. Hotel parking is a great addition. Would heartily recommend.

Zimmerbrau is a wonderful traditional Austrian hotel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful with any questions, and they print up a newsletter you can read each day during breakfast with suggestions for things to do and current events. Speaking of breakfast, it seems Austrian hotels compete with one another to see who can offer the best breakfast, and Zimmerbrau is among the best. They have a nice buffet with good rolls/bread, a nice selection of meats, cheeses, and beautiful cut-up fruit, made-to-order eggs/omelets, nice coffee/tea, and more. The breakfast room is gorgeous, with traditional wood paneling and leaded-glass windows. The entire hotel is spotless, and you will see the staff busy cleaning during the day. Or room had a balcony, a unique round bed, and a modern clean bathroom. The location is superb, right in the middle of the old town, with excellent restaurants within a block or two in all directions. The hotel has a very pleasant and well-shaded private enclosed “beach” a few hundred feet from the hotel, with recliners, a self-service fridge with drinks, and paddle boards and a paddle boat available free to guests. St Wolfgang is by far the nicest and most happening town on the Wolfgangsee, so this is the place to be. The hotel is within walking distance of the Postbus stop and ferry stop in case you don’t have a car (we didn’t). Last but not least, the price was right. Zimmerbrau is a good value.

We were staying in the hotel next door so cannot comment on the accommodation however we stopped here on a few occasions to enjoy a beer outside in their “biergarten”. The owners were super friendly and welcoming even though we weren’t guests. They had Augustiner beer on tap (one of our favorites) so it was nice to sit and enjoy while watching the world go by! St Wolfgang is simply beautiful 🥰

We had a very nice stay at this lovely hotel. It is in the center of the town yet our room was quiet and peaceful with a nice view of the lake. The room was well furnished with everything we needed. We also tried the breakfast and it was plenty with a station were you can get omelets or fried eggs. Alexandra and Hans the owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful

Wir haben unseren Sommerurlaub in einer traumhaften Gegend in einer ausgezeichneten Unterkunft verbracht. Das Chalet übertraf unsere Erwartungen bei Weitem. Das Frühstück ließ keine unserer Wünsche offen. Die Wirtsleute und auch das Personal waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
