Akrathos Beach Hotel

I’d like to say a massive thank you to nikos and adriana, they made me and my partner feel really welcome! I also like to say this resort has the most stunning view and there’s quite a lot to do if your looking for a chilled but romantic holiday such as the boat trip that has amazing views, also rented a boat for the day and saw loads of animals like even a seal! Beach is stunning too.

This was a great hotel, lovely decor, set out in small village type blocks, and very close to the beach; lovely and attentive staff, including the manager, who was very welcoming; food was good and varied, spoilt for choice, multiple bars to get drinks; I would highly recommend :)

The staff is amazing at the reception, the restaurant, pool and Beach. All of them very friendly and helpful. The view is fantastic, the room has very nice and clean, the food has very tasty, pita gyros was the top. The most relaxing vacation ever. Don't miss the Greek and the saxophone night!!

We just returned from a week all inclusive at this hotel. We are a young couple and would not return here. The food is extremely questionable and many nights we actually ended up ordering delivery from the village to save ourselves from going hungry. We spoke to a few other couples who actually ended up doing the same thing as we were all disappointed in the food. There is also no snack bar so long waits between meals. The man who i assume is the manager is extremely lovely and went out of his way to make sure we were okay, he was actually the one who gave us his phone multiple times to order take out. Cleaning is beyond disappointing. Our towels were changed once. Bedding was not changed at all and had stains on. Pool absolutely freezing, usually I’ll go in any pool no questions asked but this was just unbearable, again we spoke to multiple people who agreed. On the hottest day there the pool was also shut until around 2pm?? We were not informed why. Walls are paper thin. And that isn’t helped by cleaners being extremely loud from 8am every morning, chatting obnoxiously loud, slamming things and banging doors etc. The hotel is literally in the middle of no where. 2 hours from airport, the village is an €8 taxi away. Would probably say it’s worth one visit whilst youre there. A restaurant called Mane is absolutely incredible and the only decent meal we had all week. The staff are the only decent thing about this place, so so lovely and go out of their way to help. Would not return here and am very glad we only paid £450 each. Anything more would have been gutted.

We had a wonderful stay at Akrathos Beach Hotel! The staff was warm and welcoming, and to our surprise, they upgraded our package to all-inclusive free of charge. The view was absolutely stunning, and we loved spending time by the pool and on the beautiful beach. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

We had a nice holiday. The hotel is pretty much what it says on the tin. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a superior suite although it was a bit of hike to the accommodation at the top of the hill. The room was very nice and clean with 2 bathrooms. Being on the ground floor though it did feel like you were staying in an Olive grove and spoiled the view a bit but can’t complain as I’d booked the cheaper garden room and had been upgraded. There was Snake repellent in the gardens but didn’t see any. The hotel is set on a hillside with lovely views out to see and lots of fruit and olive trees all about. It was very tempting to pinch a few pomegranates bit didn’t. Nice pool area. The pool itself is 33mts long and quite deep. Perfect for swimming lengths. A bit cool but didn’t feel it when you got started. Lots of people are negative about the AI drinks and to be fair they are bang average for AI. Similar to other Greek 4 Star we have stayed in. The only real negative I can say is that The Restaurant has a bit of a Works Canteen feeling to it. The hotel is a bit remote. The nearest town is Ouranoupoli which is 1 and 3 quarter miles away not 2km. Well worth a visit. Lots of shops and restaurants and had a nice feel to it. Boats trips here as well. The road is not that dangerous and it’s easily walkable. We did it 3 times without issues and we are in our sixties. The nearest supermarket is here with good prices. The one in the hotel is mega expensive. If we come to this area again we would probably stay in the town as there are some lovely apartments there and close to amenities. All in all a good stay. Try to ignore the negative reviews everything is pretty good really.
