Cactus Beach Hotel

From the moment we arrived, we were not greeted kindly. The reception staff were rude and clearly unhappy to be there. They didn’t inform us about the hotel facilities or anything else. The room itself was lovely: spacious, very clean, and with a nice balcony offering a beach view. Housekeeping kept everything tidy during our stay, which we appreciated. The hotel is not advertised as mostly family-oriented, yet it was full of babies and small children, possibly 90% of the clients had children. Many parents didn’t teach their kids any discipline, so we were constantly disturbed. There's constantly children bumping into you. Hotel staff did nothing while kids ran and played loudly in the cafeteria. It was also impossible to relax at the pools or the beach due to all the shouting and noise. We stayed in early May, before high season, yet the sunbeds around both pools were already full. People would leave their towels on chairs for hours, and the hotel didn’t enforce any rules. The beach area was narrow and crowded, and you have to pay extra for sunbeds — something that was never mentioned in advance. This is usually included in the all inclusive package, not here. The all-inclusive offer was very disappointing. If you want a freshly mixed cocktail, you'll have to pay for it. The buffet was repetitive and bland. During the day, snacks consisted of some apples, some tomato and cucumber slices, and dry cheese sandwiches. The ice cream is only available for one hour a day. Compared to other all-inclusive hotels, this was extremely limited. In short: aside from the room itself, this stay was not enjoyable. We won’t be coming back.

Arriving early hours of the morning the reception staff obviously did not want to be there they were not welcoming at all unlike all Greek hotels we have been to and we have been to many !! The girls in reception in the day were lovely and extremely helpful so thank you. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then do not choose this hotel it totally caters for families with young children and not only not enough sun beds they are crammed together. There should be three pools for size of the hotel one for adults only so they can relax instead of listening to spoilt children cry and scream. The rooms are weirdly set out with a sink as you enter so when going to the toilet you have to come out of the bathroom to wash your hands 🤔 how can this be hygienic?? The hotel restaurant manager did a very good job of organising tables for the size of hotel as most people decided to eat breakfast at same time so well done to him. Lastly why on earth do they put older people in higher floor rooms with no lifts and marble winding stairs extremely dangerous when wet and right next door to amphitheatre where entertainment took place every night ? Surely it would be better to put families in these rooms as they use that facility? I think this hotel needs to rethink or state it’s just catering for families!

Offended and ignored for my money, with a small child involved in this, townspeople, wasted nerves and joking, is such a thing possible?! In which country do we choose to live, in one where only money matters, everything is numbers and that's it, we sell anything to anyone, just to make a profit?! I don't want to believe that we are all without God just for numbers... Deeply disappointed and with a missed vacation...

A big, nice hotel with a lot of entertainment, especially for children. We had a nice room, everything worked as it should. In a buffet restaurant, the organization of people so that everyone has a table. Average food, classic buffet. A short walk to the beach, where there are activities - water sports. I recommend the hotel, but out of season. We were in August and everywhere was very full. I think June or September ideal hotel.

Very small rooms , Over packed buffet, same food every day, not enough sunbeds for size of hotel, two small pools, resultingin haveing to go to beech each day were we had to pay €40 each day for sun bed, no entertainment for abult, local alcohol poor quality, on our last day, I striped our bed to be horrified that we had been sleeping on somebody else's body fluids disgusting Would not recommend

I stayed at the Cactus hotel for a week as a solo traveller end of May. I was picked up by Aris at the airport, complimentary service by the hotel which is super nice, Aris was very friendly and professional. I checked in with the reception by Nicolas and Valisiki, amazing front of house. They were always ready to help in every way, nothing was too much for them. The room was beautiful and very spacious, very modern design, pleasing to the eye. The pool so lovely. Breakfast was great, again the staff, Efi and the other staff was so lovely. This little and intimate hotel is a gem. Everything is beautiful and designed very modern. Super clean at all times. What makes this place so special is the STAFF. I would like to thank each and one of them for their generous spirit of hospitality. Also, to the owner of this hotel, please really appreciate these people who are doing an amazing job to represent this hotel. When I return to Mykonos, I will stay at this hotel again. EXCELLENT STANDARDS!!!
