Healing Manor Hotel

This is the second time I have held our charity’s training session at Healing Manor and it was fantastic again. Everyone there couldn’t do enough to make sure that we all had everything we needed, including some absolutely yummy brownies as a last minute request. I will definitely be returning next time we hold a training session in the area. Lovely bedroom, setting and dinner at The Pig and Whistle too.

Comfortably furnished good sized rooms, friendly, pleasant and accommodating staff. Food reasonable quality in the pub- with lots of choice we didn’t eat in the restaurant Good place to stay on business. Great vibe and easy access to Grimsby

Seaside afternoon tea! Was as usual top notch! Really lovely. Hubby was with me this time as we celebrated our wedding anniversary! Really delicious, staff were amazing as usual. Its really nice to see genuine happy staff together. I will never tire of this lovely place & their afternoon teas xxx

Just been to “The pig & Whistle restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary it was quite a disappointing experience we were booked in for 6.15 pm as we were advised they didn’t serve after 7.00 pm on Sunday but we were assured we would have plenty of time to order our meals however although the meal I had was very nice it was not the beef bourgeon I ordered I was brought the roast beef , I decided not to complain about this as it looked ok and I didn’t want to have to wait while they got the right meal. After we had finished our main meals and the dishes cleared away we then waited to be asked if we wanted any desserts this did not happen in fact we actually had to ask if we could have some coffees as it was quite obvious by then they were not going to be any desserts offered or served , we were very disappointed with the lack of service a shame as this was supposed to be a special evening for us .

Attended here for my son’s 18th birthday and was massively disappointed by the service. Booked in with preorders and arrived on time with a table of ten. After waiting half an hour, those having starters received them. This is where it started going wrong. I done mind half an hour for a starter but the mains then took over an hour. So. Those who didn’t have a starter had waited nearly 2 hours to get their meal. No apologies just ignored. Then when the mains came they were wrong. Again no apologies. We had preordered these mains. How can a restaurant get things so wrong. At this point we were nearly two and half hours in and called it a day. We asked for the cakes to be taken away and the birthday cake we had brought with us to be returned. Otherwise i may still be there now. Again no apologies or acceptance of poor service. What a shambles. The staff looked uninterested and that everything was an effort. If they went any slower then they would win an Olympic event in going slow. Someone needs to be running the show as this has let the restaurant down massively. I shall not be returning and again will not be telling people it is a go to venue. A Really disappointing experience.

Didn't know what to expect in the hotel restaurant. The menu was short, but good. Beef bourgingnon was excellent. Good food, friendly staff. Good service. Reasonable price for the quality. Good decor. Easy access by road. Plenty of parking. Happy to return.
