Creta Palm Resort Hotel & Apartments

Arrived early hours of the morning and there were rolls and 2 bottles of water waiting for us. There was a tax to pay €49. The room was very spacious. Comfy beds, little kitchenette. Towel were changed daily. We paid €15 for a safe and €12 for beach towels which you could change twice in the week. The food was brilliant plenty of choice. My only negative point was at breakfast time they had a 2 slice toaster for the whole hotel. There was not much entertainment as it was end of the season. We got the bus into Chania €2 each plenty of buses run regularly. We also got the bus into Platanias which is a large modern resort. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

A friend and I spent a week at Creta Palm from 1st- 8th October. The hotel is situated in a good location, near the beach, shops and bus stop. We stayed in a spacious studio apartment, beautifully decorated and cleaned daily, bedding and towels changed every day. Gardens and pool areas were well maintained. Missed having tea and coffee facilities which usually are available in 4 star hotels. Bar staff, particularly Jimmi, restaurant staff and maids were all polite and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Unfortunately, reception staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Food in the restaurant was great, lots of choice for breakfast and evening meal. The salads in particular were amazing. Would certainly return to this beautiful hotel.

Best hotel ever!! Friendly serviceminded and a staff to die for !! I miss Eva & Stella - coming back next year But want the same room !! A must in crete! Maggie the cleaning lady always the and the best bartender !!! Near bus stop and shops and car rental - you Could walk to agua Marina and on the beach !! Miss it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We're just about to leave this lovely hotel in Crete , we've had a wonderful relaxing time here , the rooms are clean and are cleaned 6 days a week ( not sundays) The staff are fabulous, they can't do enough for you. The pool is lovely and there are no sunbed wars. The guests are multinational which adds to the experience. Food is OK but we eat out locally on an evening, there are a few nice restaurants within walking distance. We're looking forward to returning next year

We went in May 2024 & are going again next week we have also booked for 2 hols nextyear at Creta Palm. Great hotel very clean & staff veryfriendly cant wait to get back there.... we enjoyed the food & the choice for all meals more thanmet our expectations...

Myself and 15 year old twins stayed for a week in an apartment - we upgraded on booking for more space and it stated that 3-4 could be accommodated. There is no way 4 could have stayed so do check before booking! There was a small bedroom with a double bed and then a very small lounge/kitchen with a smaller than single size hard sofa type bed (not fold out) with a sponge mattress. I’ve no idea where a 4th person would have slept? The apartment really was very small although it had a large balcony with a table and 2 chairs. The bathroom had a bath and a shower hose - not a standing shower - the hook was broken. Air con worked well and shutters on the windows so room was easy to keep cool. We arrived later than expected due to a flight delay - we were met by a rude member of staff on arrival who seemed very put out at us arriving when we did. We were given a map (it was 2am) and sent to find our room. One of the things I found about this resort was how unfriendly it was. The staff were professional but I honestly don’t think I saw one of them smile in a whole week of being there. There was a nice male member of staff who served lunch from the bar and worked most days but I’ve never stayed somewhere in Greece so unfriendly, everything seemed like an effort. Even after a week we felt like total strangers to the place. We paid for bed and breakfast and I was glad we’d not opted for more food options there. The breakfast buffet was ok but very average. There was a good selection. Some days we had lunch by the pool and the food there was much better. Most evenings we went to Chania (20 mins or so away) or ate locally - definitely walk a bit further for the nicer places to eat - there are some nice ones beach side of the road overlooking the sea. The pool was nice but there was a real issue with people leaving towels very early..or throughout the day and not coming back. There was a small sign on the bar saying it wasn’t allowed but never enforced. Some days we couldn’t get a space by the pool. We went to the beach a few times - walk left from the hotel and a little bit further along for the nicer places to sit on the beach. Overall this is a clean hotel/resort but completely lacks character and friendliness. We wouldn’t return. We loved that there were lots of cats and kittens most!

Crete is our second home and has been close to our hearts for many years. Last year, we stayed at Creta Palm for the first time, and we were so satisfied that we chose this hotel again this year. The incredible warmth and friendliness of the island’s inhabitants are perfectly reflected at Creta Palm. Whether it’s Jimmis at the bar, who will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy your vacation, or the entire staff who genuinely care about making your stay pleasant, you’ll feel well taken care of. The hotel is exceptionally clean, with continuous efforts to maintain cleanliness in all areas. The rooms are spacious and practically furnished. Breakfast and lunch are served in a lovely dining room, and as soon as you sit down, the friendly staff is there to assist you. Lunches are served by the bar and pool, with the kitchen staff constantly checking and replenishing the food. This year, a new beach bar was opened, which is a huge benefit for the hotel. Here, you'll find friendly service and facilities such as refreshments, drinks, food, and restrooms right by the sea. Creta Palm will warm our hearts all winter long, and we already know that, if everything goes well, we’ll see you again next year. :) The location is perfect for various walks and excursions to Chania, Terra Creta, and more.

First time at this hotel, wow what a gem! Spotlessly clean with spacious rooms and good air conditioning. We were B&B as we prefer to dine out. What made this hotel special were the bar staff by the pool. Jimmis is a big hearted guy, cocktail connoisseur and knowledgeable about good local cuisine. Always had a smile and a ‘high five’ greeting. Katerina Eviridiki ilektra the super girls at the bar, always smiling and hard working, a credit to the hotel ❤️ The hotel is central to Agia Marina and Kato Stalos with regular buses to Chania right outside the door. We will be back, fantastic holiday with fabulous people 🇬🇷

We spent 2 weeks here, all-inclusive during July/August 2024. We stayed in a studio which was very nice and spacious and came equipped with a kitchenette and a fridge. We had access to plates/cups and cutlery which was very useful during our stay. The room had amazing air con and it was very tidy and the cleaning staff did a wonderful job when they came in daily. However, There were multiple things that were quite disappointing about the hotel. We paid a lot of money for this holiday and it just seemed like we didn’t get our money’s worth. The all-inclusive side of things was very limited with little local cuisine on offer and there was not much choice during meal times. It seemed to be the same kind of things every night. At dinner time, the drinks are not self-serve , you are served by a member of staff. Once they have served you for the first time, if you would like more drinks during dinner, it is very hard to catch someone to order again. Also, the Buffet area is small and it can get very busy and you are often having to wait in a long queue to get your meals. Also, on our last day, despite our flight being later on at night, we had to check out at 11am. We tried to extend our check out time, however we were told the hotel was full and this was not possible. We had asked multiple times about this during our 2 week stay, including on the night we got there, but we just kept being promised that if we ask the next day or in a few days they will see what they can do. When we checked out at reception, they cut our all inclusive wristbands off and told us that all inclusive stops at 3pm and after that we have to pay for anything we have. Furthermore, there were lots of extras on offer for an additional price that didn’t seem to be included in the all inclusive. For example, there were certain drinks at the bar you could not order for free. We tried to order an Amstel radler and we were told we could have one for 4€ but that if we wanted them to make us a drink of half beer half lemonade then they could do it for free. There is also an ice cream freezer but you must pay for them separately, and every day from 4-6 they have happy hour for cocktails where each one is around 9€ a piece. The entertainment side of things was also quite disappointing as there is only 3 nights where there are entertainment and they are repeated every week. It alternates from Karaoke, a magician for the kids and then a saxophone player. Other than that, there is not much to do on an evening and the bar closes at 10pm. There is also no poolside entertainment during the day or a kids club. Additionally, It’s very difficult to get a sunbed around the pool as most people who get up early reserve them with their towels even though it clearly states that this is prohibited. The annoying thing is that most people don’t even come to their sun beds around the pool and so there are no spaces for people that are actually in the hotel during the day. Also, if you want a sunbe
