Galini Sea View

Unser Aufenthalt im Gallini Sea View Hotel auf Kreta war durchschnittlich. Die Lage mit dem schönen Meerblick war definitiv ein Pluspunkt, und das Personal war freundlich. Die Zimmer und das Essen waren in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Es gab weder gravierende Mängel noch besondere Highlights. Insgesamt ein solider Aufenthalt, der weder besonders schlecht noch herausragend war.

Got giving the worst room in the hotel 1137. Right under the bar and the view on the balcony was the day time seating area and the evening entertainment area. Shocking! Asked to move but was shown a room what looked like a 1/2* hotel. Hotel charge extra for everything.. even dark rum, pool towels and beach beds. Miss sold on LoveHolidays as having 4 restaurants. 1 buffet and 3 specialty restaurants. This was not the case, only the 1 specialty.. even the signs around the hotel still advertised this. Terrible up sell. Absolutely shocking . NOT a 5* hotel.. dirty pools and pool ladders are a health and safety issue.

This was the worst 5 star hotel I ever stayed! Food was awful and not close to a 5 star standard, facilities where not bad but also for a 5 star service is very very poor! If you are looking to pay for a 5 star hotel and and get the return on your stay this is not for you!

We have just stayed in the Galini Sea View hotel in Crete. Positive. Hotel was spotless clean and all the staff where fantastic and anything you asked wasn’t a bother to them any problems where sorted within minutes. Lovely views but the hotel was up a steep incline but there was the golf cart to run you up and down form early in the morning to 23:00 at night. Negatives. The food was lukewarm warm most of the time with no way of heating it up ( microwave would have been useful ) which was a pity as the food was good with a good variety of dishes. We booked a room with a private pool but we didn’t use it as the whole area didn’t get any sun on it so in fact it was a bit of a waste of money which was a pity as the room itself was very good ( could have done with some draws.

This hotel is classed as a 5 star it is at most 2-3 star. The bathrooms need updating and a deep clean the shower had mould in. The first room we had a clump of hair and scum on the outside of the shower definitely not been cleaned, the whole bathroom just needed a really good clean. Reception were very good and agree to move us. The second room still had mould in the shower but not as much as the first room the taps had lime scaled covered over them the basin tap was tarnished, the work top had not been fitted correctly the hooks for hanging your towels were coming off the wall. In the bed room there were chunks out of the wall the ceilings look like they had mould on them but had just been painted over the mould. The hallway had scratches running down the full length of the corridor. We did look at a third room which was a little better but as we were only there for 4 nights decided to stay in the second as it was a bright room and near to the reception/bar and buggy to the beach. The garden areas were over grown and needed a lawn mower run over them. The main stair case to the pool again run down. The toilet for the pool area was a unisex area had a big gap in the door so anyway coming in could see you sat on the loo. The whole place including the beach area was just run down and in desperate need for a deep clean and decorating. The saving for this hotel is the staff they were friendly. I have attached some of the photos that we took. Every day there was someone in the reception area asking to move rooms. The place is up high so you did need the buggy to get to the beach but that was not an issue that ran frequently, but if you have walking issue to walk around the hotel would be an issue, parts of the hotel had steep walkways. I can see if the hotel had an overhaul it would have been a lovely place to stay.

This is never a 5 star hotel , i would say 3 star maximum , the hotel has tree different buildings , main one is up on the hill and in order to get there you need to wait for the mini shuttle car , the other two buildings are called beach houses and are as the name says on the beach , but i would not recommend . We stayed in one of the beach houses , the room was supposed to be side sea view , but the only view was the other building balconies and the metal stairs just 1 meter away from our small balcony. The smell of sewage in this beach houses is absolutely disgusting , it seems to be a problem from the main sewage from the street . The rooms are spacious but some bathrooms are not with stoneware but painted all in some dark strange paint underneath you can smell mold. The staff doing cleaning is missing a hand of a supervision , no towels in our room at arrival , no toilet paper . The beach allocated to this hotel is so small and there is a fight in the morning of who is coming earlier to occupy the sunbeds , not to mention that you have to pay 10 euros per set of 2 sunbeds and an umbrella per day , after 5 pm is free. The bar at the beach is poorly stocked with food , beer is a piss , and juices are from dispenser full of ice and water , if you want a proper orange juice you will have to pay . The restaurant is a mess , fighting to find a table if you are more than 2 people , food is good but quite repetitive and the staff has no clue how to do their job ( many of them are still kids so is understandable ). The entertainment in the evening is poor , small bar area , not enough tables and no area for dance. I would not recommend this hotel , surely the price is way to high for the services provided.

Hotel in a good position in the resort, close to the beach and plenty of shops nearby. There are a few steep slopes to get to the hotel off the main stretch of road. Inside the hotel complex, there are many steps to get to floor to floor. These issues would make the hotel not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Even the elevators don't take you up to every level. The food buffet service is plentiful though quite repetitive. During our 7 night stay I can't say that any of the hot meals were actually that hot, most supposedly kept warm by a dim light. Although our room was cleaned daily, the bin was not always emptied. Despite there being a kettle in the room not once were tea, coffee, milk replenished. Access to the beach is via a bridge going over the road, which was a bonus but is poorly signposted. As was the directions to the reception, on our arrival we eventually found it on floor 3 after what felt like a hike being dropped off on the main road.

We had a wonderful time!Hotel is modern and clean, with great facilities. The food was delicious, and there was always something different to try. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel welcome. Strongly recommended to everyone.

Great place, nice food, cleanliness in the hotel and nice staff, including an animator named Alex. Which was funny and nice too. The hotel was suitable for relaxation, but there is also a lot of entertainment in the area. I can recommend the hotel.
