"Probably my favorite homestay in Chengdu, if not China. Room is spacious, clean and sunny. Balcony is a bonus, esp on sunny days. The design is effortlessly chic and charming, with quality and functional furniture. The microwave, fridge and washer make long (or short) term stays very convenient.
Location is amazing; you’re right in downtown, less than five mins walk from TaiKoo Li, IFS (and so many other malls) and Chunxi Road. Metro is also just a five mins walk so you can easily get to other areas.
The host is very helpful and responsive and they were so kind to give me a sunny room upon request. The cleaning ladies are also very generous with the amenities, giving multiples of water bottles, towels, napkins, slippers, etc. The room is located in a residential building without a traditional front desk; so while you won’t feel like you’re walking through The Four Seasons Hotel, you’re definitely getting luxe service once you check in. Highly recommend."

"Very clean, the receptionist added us on WeChat and asked us if we would like our room cleaned on non-checkout days which was very nice of her. Laundry can be done for free just give your clothes to the receptionist between 8am-10pm. The bed is comfy and no bad smells. Close to Chunxi road, panda research centre and Sichuan face changing opera! I would come here again next time I am in Chengdu"

Men även de uppgraderade rumstyperna har genomsnittliga faciliteter och utrustning. Förutom sängen finns det inget litet bord för att äta i rummet, och det finns bara en stol. Det är väldigt obekvämt för två personer att stanna och vilja äta tillsammans. Ena sidan av uttaget vid sängen var trasigt och det fanns ingen ström Jag var inte uppmärksam på innan jag gick och la mig.

"I had a nice stay here. The location is really good, very close to the subway, so it was easy to get around. I also loved the view from my room I could see Anshun Bridge, which was beautiful, especially at night. The room was clean enough, and for the price, I think it’s totally worth it."

Cons are the shower pressure is kinda low but hot water tank is huge so you can take hot shower for a long time without worrying about water turning cold. The building has 24hr security, inconvenient thing is that if you don't have a china phone number you cannot register as a guest, need to explain to the security guard to let you in every time."

"Hotellets läge är mycket fördelaktigt. Det är bara några minuters promenad från tunnelbanestationen Chunxi Road och det är mycket bekvämt att besöka Chunxi Road Bar Street. Det finns också en bar på hotellets tak, där många stiliga utlänningar bor. Sovsalen är mycket ren. Det är det renaste vandrarhemmet jag någonsin bott i. Jag stannade där flera dagar i rad. Det är mycket bekvämt att gå till olika platser. Det är absolut ekonomiskt och prisvärt i detta område."

BBel.z.bubAmazing service and rooms. Very quiet in general. Staff is extremely helpful and kind.
Beds are soft and fresh, and rooms are spacious and clean. Did not opt to have breakfast at the hotel, but there are several shops nearby, including a 24h convenience store.
It is extremely well located with a metro station nearby. There are also several restaurants at the metro station and in the surrounding streets, all worth trying!

SSharifah AisyahThis is such an excellent and cosy place to stay before going up to Xiling Snow Mountain! The owner is so kind and hospitable. Made sure we were comfortable, upgraded our room to a bigger one as we were large group, and ensured our breakfast served was suitable for Muslims. We can use the kitchen to cook our dinner which she gave us complimentary condiments to use. She really went out of her way to cater to our needs. Amazing views of the river from the rooms as well! Would definitely recommend staying here! Will come again

Location
On a long street with many restaurants and shops along the street and a self service ATM 5 -10 min walk away, including a small market in the mornings. It is a residential area, so you will most likely be the only foreigner, but people are extremely friendly and helpful, albeit the stares. The entrance faced the main road and was well lit. There is a flight of stairs that you will need to go up to get to the hostel area. If you have not tried hot pot, I would def recommend going to the Haichiniu Xianxianqie Beef Self service Hot Pot place which is around 5 mins walk down the road.
Quite far from the centre of the city however it is extremely easy to get to. During the day, there is a close proximity to the underground around 10 min walk, and there is a bus that I took from the city centre to right outside the hostel door where the bus stop was. If you are going through the night/early morning, it is extremely easy to catch a taxi through apps and it is quite cheap (around 40- 70 yen) and the road is very well lit. I felt completely safe in the area.
Service
Chu, the hostel aunty is warm and helpful, and gives you a sense of being home away from home. This included being made some home made dumplings to celebrate Golden Week which tasted delicious! She gave recommendations on places to go and made sure that I kept safe when out. As another review said, it can be a bit difficult communicating if you don't know Chinese as no English at the hostel or around the area is spoken and it can get quite draining/ mentally challenging at times for us, however Chu still tried her best to communicate regardless and I really appreciated the effort. To get around this and to make your stay more enjoyable, I would be sure to have WeChat set up prior so you can use the chat translator and have your google translate app out ready. (N.B Make sure you are able to set up the account and get the WeChat validation/security text through your HOME sim/data roaming as opposed to attempting to set up your account on your E-sim which won't work).
Facilities
It is a hostel that provides what you need. The things that took my British head some time to get around was the shower situation and the bed; namely the shower as it was more typical of an advanced bidet than standard shower. However, it was kept exceptionally clean after my first day there and I did my part of keeping it clean by bleaching it down. The bed is quite sturdy, typical of Chinese beds, so I would recommend bringing a blanket or similar to lay on the mattress so you can get to sleep. There is an upstairs area where you can use the washing machine or wash your clothes by hand and an open area to hang dry your clothes. Make sure you have some cash ready to give to Chu to use the machine. There is a vending machine that you can buy snacks for using the your WeChat pay. There is a seating area at the top where you can sit down and eat, smoke and chat. Once you are used to the different products used (i.e remembering the slippers, using the shower etc.), it becomes second nature and a very comfortable stay (funny story: I was sitting on a desk chair outside my room and being use to the chairs in the UK being quite heavy, I swung myself around and ended up falling off the chair LOL!).
Cleanliness
Like I mentioned above, the hostel is kept exceptionally clean and I had no concerns around hygiene once I got used to the shower situation. The cleanliness is what I can say was a huge benefit to the hostel. Considering how large the place is and Chu is the sole host, it is kept evidently very clean and Chu will be sure to tell you to tidy up too lool. People in China are not a fan of strong smells/ fragranced things so you will not smell bleach or such products but after seeing a storage room, I can assure they are being used!
The photos in the other reviews capture it exactly so you will not be surprised when coming to the place.

GGästanvändareGreat and convenient location, to the point we extended another night stay. Only 200m to People's Park station, subway Line 2, which can connect you almost anywhere. Able to walk to People's Park and Kuanzhai Alley, even Tianfu Square if you can walk 2km. Also have a convenience store available downstairs of the same building, and Hong Qi store if you walk a bit further. Many tour agencies are on the opposite road, where you can book day tours. The tour bus pickup and drop off points are also only around 1km from this building, easy to walk to due to the extra-wide sidewalks. It's facing the main road so you can easily get taxis as well.
The building is easy to locate, but the check in counter is more confusing to find. When looking in from the main road, the convenience store is on the left, so you need to go to the opposite side of the convenience store. You need to walk to the back of the building and find the entrance facing the wall with a car park boom gate. There is a security guard and there are lots of online delivery boxes. Then, access the elevator and the reception is on level 26.
There was a washing machine and detergent available in our unit, which we utilized. Other than the clothes hanging bar in the kitchen, the rest of the unit lacked places to hang things such as wet towels. It was a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom unit with another queen bed in the living room. Hot water was always available though you have to fiddle with the lever and wait some time. The kitchen only had a water kettle and a few mugs. There's a primary school right beside the building and you can hear the students every weekday morning. (My photos were taken just before checkout so don't mind the mess)
The owners are an exceptionally friendly couple who are hardworking and provide excellent service. They are open to feedback and we've told them what we think was lacking in our unit. Hopefully they will implement the small improvements. They also recommended a few restaurants to us that had good local food and were reasonably priced.
Recommend to add them on WeChat prior to arrival and communicate your arrival time. They wait at the front desk past midnight if they don't know the guest's check in time. However, they can only communicate in Mandarin, so you may face some difficulty.

GGästanvändareBra läge.Som utlänning fann jag att det var ganska centralt, så jag var aldrig tvungen att resa för långt till olika områden i staden.Det finns också några coola restauranger och barer en kort promenad bort.
Hotellet var bra med en fråga. Om jag lämnade baddörren öppen, skulle cigarettrök från ett annat rum komma in i rummet. Det var mycket starkt. En natt lämnade jag dörren öppen och vaknade upp och kände mig lite illamående och irriterade med mina lungor.
Det var inte mycket att minnas att stänga dörren, och att göra att jag var helt okej, men det var inte perfekt.
Annars, stor erfarenhet.Receptionisterna gjorde det mycket lätt att förlänga min bokning flera gånger när jag stannade längre än förväntat.

NNings tripHonestly, this is perfect if you want a budget hotel for long layover because they also provide picku& dropoff airport BUT you gotta be good at chinese coz their staff cant speak english. I have a hard time booking for airport pickup (the only way to book was to call them. no email, no texting) and I ended calling for a didi service to reach their hotel. Their hotel is soso but clean enough. Except the water drainage in the shower was clogged lol. They also provide breakfast with chinese menu

AAlan76The location and room size is very good. Service from the receptionist was generally good. You get a text on WeiXin (WeChat) about local food eateries and attractions nearby, WiFi info and cleaning service, but note, do not expect a hotel 24 hr service.
I was not sure about the air con if it was working or not, and only found out how to operate on the day of leaving, so advise if you are unsure to contact the receptionist and they will guide you.
Note, this is a budget apartment booking and the receptionist may be away on a short break so you do need to have a bit of patience to allow them to return, but if you have weChat, they do respond and let you know.
The room we had has seen much better days particularly the shower room. The shower door doesn't close fully so beware not to spray water towards the door.
There was a Samsung washing machine which did turn on, (we did not use it). There was a drying rack for clothes as well. Overall it was a functional budget apartment for a short stay if you need to accommodate 3 to 4 people.

HHana moriThe hotel name is rather deceiving. When I booked, I thought it was IHG's Holiday Inn, but it's actually not. The location is somewhere in the middle of a village near the airport, but luckily they provided free airport pick up service (For international tourists, it's best to get a local number to call the hotel). Due to construction works nearby, the distance to the airport took longer than expected. But, overall the stay is okay as the room is nice and comfy.
