"Room was small but ok for 4 pax not to feel v squeezy. The bathroom had a heater overhead which when turned on, makes one not feel cold immediately after a shower. Thumbs up for the nice fixture!
Booked the hotel for its newly-renovated rooms and good rating, with a private rooftop that has unblocked view of Meili Snow Mountain hence dont need to walk down to Fei Lai Si viewing platform in the cold morning."

"Clearly the best hotel around. The price is low and the service is perfect. The food is also very good and the people managing the hotel are all very nice.

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which is perfectly situated in town, offering breathtaking views right from our room (for sunset and sunrise see photos). The location alone makes it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The owner even parked our car right in front of the hotel. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was smooth thanks to a translation app. Their hospitality truly stood out, and we appreciated their warm and accommodating attitude.
The only downside was that our room was quite cold until the heating started working in the evening.
Overall, despite this small issue, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a scenic and welcoming place to stay in the Meili Snow Mountains!"

"The hotel is located nicely and the top floor rooms front side have super views of the Meili mountain range and that is why you want to be in Feilasi in the first place. The staff is super helpfull and nice. Rooms have floor heating.
There is no elevator however and the hotel lacks atmosphere."

"Excellent location, next to the bus stop where coach bus from Shangri-la will stop. And it's just 200m to the viewing platform of Meili Snow Mountain for sunrise.
The room is very clean, spacious, with heated floor, heating mattress, oxygen supply (if needed), furnishing is 5-star quality.
The owner is very helpful giving us accurate info on how to observe Meili Snow Mountain sunrise, and helped to buy the coach bus tickets back to Shangri-la. The restaurant at second floor can observe BaiMa Snow Mountain (sunset) and Meili Snow Mountain (sunrise) if you don't want to go outdoor. Highly recommended for anyone coming to FeiLaiShi."

MMax_S02Firstly, this has to be one of the nicest places which I stayed at in Yunnan, or in China for that matter. You may be thinking that is price is good to be true, but this place performs well above what is to be expected of that price range. I was originally planning to stay elsewhere in Benzilan, but am very glad that I stayed here.
The rooms are super spacious with high ceilings and wooden furniture. The view out of my window was very green and calming. The amenities were all well-maintained and very clean. The pictures really don't do the rooms the justice that they deserve.
Secondly, and very importantly, the owner - a young Benzilan local who operates the hotel with his mother - is exceptionally kind, genuine and friendly. As a solo traveller, he helped organise transport, offered lunch, and even some of the local liquor. As far as service goes, this place remains unbeaten amongst all the places I've travelled in China.
The hotel overlooks the mountains surrounding Benzilan. In the evening, you can peacefully sit outside the hotel on its elevated terrace and quietly watch the mountains as the sun goes down.
I would not hesitate to stay again.

Some hotels look good in photos but the quality and details not good. This hotel is exactly like in the photos, even better - quality, quality, quality. Great value for the cost. It’s a 15 min walk to the main temple area, but that’s better to enjoy the nature and scenery, and the staff will drive you if you prefer. Plus there are restaurants just a few mins away. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this one!

The location is convenient, just a short walk away from the Feilaisi Observation Deck. The service is warm and friendly. I felt very at home here. You get a discount when you eat at their restaurant too. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again.

RRosa09As one of the rare solo travelers to Meilin, our check-in process took a little longer than usual since the staff wasn’t entirely familiar with handling overseas guests (They probably wasn't used to seeing non-locals HAHA). That said, they were extremely accommodating—they kindly invited us to rest in our room first and even enthusiastically helped carry our (very heavy) luggage upstairs. Despite our late arrival around 10 PM, the staff patiently waited for us and assisted in unloading our bags from the car, which we greatly appreciated.
The hotel itself was clean and cozy. Our room was spacious and well-heated, including a warm bathroom that was a real comfort in the chilly weather. Water pressure and hot water was good. While our booking was for three people, the room was initially stocked with toiletries for two—but this was quickly resolved with a simple call to the front desk.
A standout feature was the smart AI assistant (Xiao Du) in the room, which was perfect for those who enjoy convenience—controlling lights and music hands-free was a nice touch. Location-wise, the hotel is well-situated, just a short 15-minute walk to Feilai Temple. The photos on Trip were accurate, and while there wasn't a strong mountain view from our room, it didn’t detract from the overall pleasant experience.
Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort, and convenience, making it a solid choice for anyone visiting the area.

LLinda PuiJust to make it clear that the location of this hotel is not at the Meili Viewing Platform. You need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the platform to watch Meili at sunrise. The mountain that is in the background of the hotel is Baima mountain.
Having said that, we loved our stay at this hotel. The cabin was nicely decorated and equipped with all amenities. We loved the bathroom! The heater was working well in the cold weather.
The uncle was lovely. It was a bit hard for us to conmunicate what we wanted as we don't speak Chinese but through Wechat translation he was able to arrange a car (shared trip) to Mingyong Glacier and a private transfer back to Shangri La for us. The auntie at the breakfast was also lovely and welcoming, trying to chat with us all the time.
One thing to note is that aroud the area there are a lot of construction sites (there is one opposite the hotel), so it can be dusty and noisy at times. Please check with the hotel about the construction if it is still ongoing during the time you want to visit.
All in all, I highly recommend this place if you want a lovely cabin experience (with sky window!) away from the busy area. However, you won't see Meili from the hotel's windows.

One of the most stunning views from a hotel ever.
Doodoo the dog is the sweetest and felt like a home stay, super quiet and calm! Comfy beds with electric blanket and clean room.
Cons:
The shared toilets,sink shower are outside, which is not ideal in cold November.
First day the woman working was so helpful and accommodating, helped me wash clothes, made food and answered questions. The second day was a different woman, who would not use a translation app to answer questions which made things difficult. Would not make a hot drink in the cafe for me and wouldn’t explain why and wasn’t much help on transport questions because she wouldn’t translate her answers. Unfortunately it stands out because 99% of people in china help you! I went to a different cafe down the road where people were immediately so helpful.

BBrett.Jag stannade i Yubeng i fyra eller fem dagar och jag gillade särskilt detta värdshus. Damens chef var mycket entusiastisk och förklarade några av våra tvivel och lokala seder. Hon fick mig att känna mig som min mamma. Butiken tillhandahåller mat, dryck och en garanterad affär. Det är mycket bekvämt att boka en dags vandring. Det är mycket bra Bekvämt för alla vägar Jag har gått nästan alla vägar, inklusive de som ingår. Vägen till byn är verkligen lämplig Lyckligtvis kan jag se Jinshans solsken när jag låg i rummet i alla fall, jag såg det när jag låg och upplevelsen var väldigt bra. Nästa gång hoppas jag att jag kan komma med mina nära och kära eller ta med mina barn att läsa meddelandet jag skrev i värdshuset. Till sist önskar jag ägarinnan en välmående verksamhet.

GGästanvändareHighly recommend this hostel if you want to meet new people in Yubeng! Foreigner-friendly food (I recommend the beef fried rice!) and service (one staff member speaks English really well and others are happy to use translator apps). The only downsides about this hostel is that the toilets/showers for the dorm rooms need to be cleaned way more frequently (there was always mud from hiking boots everywhere) and the walls are very thin. If this is something that bothers you, then I would recommend you book a private room instead of the dorm. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay at this hostel!

GGästanvändareThis room is rather pricy for what it offers. Rather basic room and toilet. There is a humidifier and a small room heater which doesn’t really help in the middle of winter. However to our surprise, the bed is electrically heated and works very well and extremely useful in the wintry cold. Location is not too bad as there are many restaurants nearby and the mountain sunrise viewing deck area is maybe within 200m away. Please checkout the Sichuan restaurant just opposite the hotel which would also be recommended by the hotel staff as the food is affordable and extremely delicious. Speaking of the staff, the staff was not at the front desk at check in however he did respond quickly via WeChat. His attitude is bad as though we owed him a living.
